Jesse made SEVEN 1v1 tackles
Not bad matched up against Olam as even if not on Olam he’s shutting down the ball getting to Olam

That's good considering Olam carved us up in the first game

1 was a suicide run and 1 was a standard drop

who cares when he is the one taking the tackle 2 and 3 hit ups getting out of our end, he was the one shutting down melbournes right edge, he bodied a top 2 centre in the game

the complete package and he is only getting better, lock him down for life

Agree with much of this. I believe that Ramien has been as good or better than Talakai for much of the year - but as others said the brain farts are letting him down.

Everyone drops balls. Talakai, Ronnie and Katoa have all dropped a few coming out of our end and have been forgiven. The main thing I was pissed off at was the drop on the put down. He bludgeoned that one. No excuse. Hold the ball, fall over, and score. He tried to get fancy and slam it down.

I am in no way concerned about the Ramien who plays against a Storm team who's form was closer to the Dogs than the Cowboys. He kills it.
It'll remain to be seen if the team the Cowboys can field will show us what Ramien looks like without the plethora of opportunities or let-offs. I'm sure he will be just as physical and damaging with his runs and defence. But I have a suspicion the brain fades will be a much bigger talking points if he can't get near the white stripe... because they'll still be there when the attacking stats dry up.

his brain fades are less that one a game, for what he gives us in terms of with and without the ball, so be it

he is a destructive runner who breaks tackles and makes meters when our forwards need a rest, and this year he has shown he is a more than capable defender

He's killing it this season but the brain fades need to stop.

He pretty much cost us two points in round 1, that could be critical at the end of the season.

they do need to stop, no doubt, but sparkles is over exaggerating again which im not shocked about

i wouldnt take away his aggression and enthusiasm, its on fitz and co to contain it, i alsoi think he is bordering on being refereed on reputation

he got penalised against the dogs for laying on a player, vaughan basically had an afternoon siesta on tolman and **** all was done about it

He muffed the gimme try.
Dropped the kick cold (but saved by an offside penalty).
Gave two very avoidable penalties away... which I'd agree he's being watched for now, but he's earned that attention.

It's not the stat, it's the reason. They're dumb handovers that other players aren't giving up. Like I said, let's re-evaluate when he's played a few full(er) strength, in form top, half of the comp sides.

He should stay aggressive, but learn how to play 2022 footy. 2018 Ramien gets away with that stuff, but he doesn't today.
