I don’t know that that’s a widely regarded premise is it? People can say they have him starting/bench now without considering him and automatic selectionThe premise that Royce Hunt is an automatic selection is just wrong. Cam, Dale are the only 2. Everyone else is competing for a job and may see their role change in the new rotation.
Yeah - I don’t think the All Stars game matters at all.Game only half had my attention but I didn’t think Hunt went that bad?
Had one error from a good tackle (still should of held it but plenty of others had an error or more)
Didn’t get heaps of runs, had a strong one from kick off and other were a mixed bag.
16 tackles no misses

How do we use Cam in this rotation ?The premise that Royce Hunt is an automatic selection is just wrong. Cam, Dale are the only 2. Everyone else is competing for a job and may see their role change in the new rotation.
I liked what I saw of Williams yesterday. Sharing 80 between he and Dale might be a nice way to keep the ball movement and high work rate while also bringing a point of difference with his strong running and quick ptb’s. Can’t get that sort of play from Hunt, Kaufusi or Tommy.
You're calling a guys career over a trial game... Mate, you pump the team up less than a members packAfter watching hunt tonight, we need a new prop
Uele will start over him
That’s one way, but it’s not really an issue. Most of the time last year there was one genuine “prop” and two locks on the field. How do we use Cam in this rotation ?
I’d have him starting @ 9 for 20 minutes but where to from there ?
If you’re basing that on a comparison between a trial with the reserve grade knights & the game yesterday, that’s a rough call. I thought the all stars match had way more intensity & contact was heavier. After watching hunt tonight, we need a new prop
Uele will start over him
Yeah. All stars is irrelevant.Hunt was fine running on & off every few sets in a micky mouse game
I don't go that deep. My thoughts on preferred line up are as irrelevant as they are non-existent. I'll leave it Fitz to put it all where it needs to go mate. Cheer if we win, forget it if we don't.Yeah. All stars is irrelevant.
Still comes down to the role Fitz wants for this player. If you want a guy to guy with ball in hand for just 15-25 any middle could do it well enough, but Hunt is towards the front of the queue. For any other role I would take Williams or BHU over him.
While Hunt is the biggest metre-eater in the team, he does it in very short stints with lots of rest in between, and is the least busy player in defence. His defensive work rate is comparable to a back rower rather than a middle. Not poor by any means but well below every other regular middle forward.

It’s also often forgotten that Jack Williams has possibly the quickest ptb speed in the NRL. That’s a huge factor.

Did Hazelton have a good PTB speed or did I just see a couple of decent ones?Yeah. All stars is irrelevant.

What is the bench mark which is considered good? The NRL has actually started tracking player averages for PTB so you can look it up in the match stats if you're interested.
His average speed in the trial was 3.82 seconds.
There isn’t really a benchmark. So many different situations and variables. What is the bench mark which is considered good?
Def agree.Yeah that was good and when him and Hazelton were making tackles together for a bit they were so dominant
