He's powerful and built low to the ground.

Slower turning circle.

Straight up the middle is his best go IMO.

Hope I'm wrong but I just have this feeling he's going to disappoint.
i dont see why he would, he was our best forward in 2021 and had some real good games for us before getting injured

i think he will spend the first part of the season with newtown to get some legs under him but wont be long before he is back in the team

Isn't Cam McInnes out Reuben Cotter... or do you mean "bloke who showed a bit, but kept getting injured, then finally got injury free and killed it"?
Yeah the second one, particularly the getting injured part...

I guess Cam kinda already is. I mean "mobile middle forward who punches well above his weight and makes a significant impact towards winning the ruck for his team". Cam definitely does that, but no harm in wanting Jack to do that too.

I thought Jack Williams was our best forward in 2021, it makes sense to give him a good chance to get back to that form again. He made a big difference for us from the bench and plays with aggression.

If he was being played for more than 45 mins and/or not as a middle then the coach was either forced to cover for another injured player or made a misjudgment on how to best use Jack, we didn't really have any good consistent forward performances other than him. Our other forwards were crap alot of the time actually especially when it came to defense, discpline and handling

Jack might look like he should be a wrestler but he put it all together last season and really showed his worth and value to the team. Just keep the framework the same and he can hopefully perform at that level again.

Thought Jack was very good in his first run back from injury, putting in the work to get his spot back.
Agree , thought he was better than a couple of our other middles who will need to improve when all the big boys play next week .

Another performance like that and he takes Uele’s spot on the bench
BHU has much high offensive ceiling though (as a runner) if he can tap back into it and can whack blokes

Williams more consistent and can ball play
could come down what coach is looking for in that bench jersey

The premise that Royce Hunt is an automatic selection is just wrong. Cam, Dale are the only 2. Everyone else is competing for a job and may see their role change in the new rotation.

I liked what I saw of Williams yesterday. Sharing 80 between he and Dale might be a nice way to keep the ball movement and high work rate while also bringing a point of difference with his strong running and quick ptb’s. Can’t get that sort of play from Hunt, Kaufusi or Tommy.

Game only half had my attention but I didn’t think Hunt went that bad?

Had one error from a good tackle (still should of held it but plenty of others had an error or more)
Didn’t get heaps of runs, had a strong one from kick off and other were a mixed bag.
16 tackles no misses

I don’t know that that’s a widely regarded premise is it? People can say they have him starting/bench now without considering him and automatic selection
