Pure speculation on my part but maybe were about to be the ones bought by Koukash.

What does this mean for Flanno and others association with the club

I'd think not. Not a great way to go about it. Any purchase would require the consent of members etc first.

Lol Noyce now gone.
Like I said people, basket case
It's easy to take snipes, but I'm not sure it's a bad move.

As the press release says, we are about to come into a lot of money with the development. We really need a top class financial operator in place at this time. What we do in the next couple of years will be hugely important for the future of the club and it's important we get it right. I'm neither a Noyce fan or hater. But if the board feels we need a person with a different skill set, well it might be a good idea to go in a different direction. I'm someone that has been pretty skeptical of this board in the past, but I'm willing to give this a chance and see how it unfolds over the next couple of months at least.

The problem isnt noyce being sacked. You can replace a ceo. The problem is they write a long winded press release about finding the right guy when Punity probably already has its candidate lined up and its probably one of their mates.

Well if that ends up being the case it sucks.

Wait and see the details I guess.

Seems like a massive job, for just one person.
It does.

Cronulla Sharks Sack CEO Steve Noyce, with former West Sydney Wanderers boss in the frame
David Riccio The Daily Telegraph October 22, 2014 9:42PM

THE figurehead responsible for one Australian sport’s great success stories, the Western Sydney Wanderers, has emerged as a possible target to replace sacked Cronulla Sharks CEO Steve Noyce.

Noyce was informed late on Wednesday that his services were no longer required by the Cronulla board, who have opted to overhaul the management structure of the embattled club.

Under the restructure, the Sharks aim to appoint a new group CEO, who will oversee both the day-to-day running of the football club and also the club’s $300 million development.

Lyall Gorman, the former executive chairman of the Wanderers and former head of the A-League, is one name which is expected to appear on a list of possible targets when the club’s commences a national search to fill the new role.

Noyce’s exit from the role after 15-months is yet another chapter in a tumultuous two years for the club, which has included the ASADA scandal, player upheaval and also this year’s wooden spoon.

Sharks chairman Damian Keogh said the decision to sever ties with Noyce while painstaking, was crucial to the club’s elevation to a professional run organisation.

“It’s never easy, but he maintains his integrity as always,’’ Keogh said.

“We’re very appreciative of the dedication and the commitment. In terms of where we’re heading, we’ve come out of a pretty dark two years and we’re ready to move forward.

“Our development, the building works will hopefully begin next month, which will help secure our future so really the challenge to us is, for us to step up to the next level now as a club and a professional business across the football club and all the other entities.
“That is the entire focus behind the restructure.’’

Keogh denied Noyce’s exit had anything to do with the Mad Monday controversy of last month.

“No, it didn’t,’’ Keogh said.

The Sharks said “they hope to appoint new group CEO to lead both the leagues and football club businesses and anticipate finalising this appointment in the coming months”.

In the interim current Sharks Leagues Club CEO, Marcelo Veloz will fill the position of Sharks Group CEO until the search is complete.
“The board of the Sharks has been working on an industry leading governance structure and will continue to build a solid platform for growth to ensure success of the group both on and off the field,’’ Keogh said.

“We are very enthusiastic about the future of the Sharks both as a successful NRL franchise and as a business.’’
