...I suggest that for 2013 the members jersey (with club members names on it) they use the Heritage jersey .... just as a one off i think it would rock!!!!

....a heritage jersey with club members names on it...

I see they have put up a signed, framed jersey up for sale on sharks store for $995. I'd like to see them bundle next years one into the memberships at an aggressive price point for members to renew/join. More of an upsell like renew/join and you can add this in at a discounted rate(not saying half price or anything but like a 20% discount would get some interest imo) for early people to add into their cart.

I've got no idea how many of the 500 made up this year have/will sell. If they sell all 500 at that rate then there is no need to discount it but its an idea.

Easy to sit here though and throw ideas around when it isn't our job/no consequences.

the cap issue was addressed by the membership team yesterday.

what they ordered, and what we received, were 2 different kettle of fish.

So the club didn't get what they paid for? I hope they were compensated by the supplier if that's the case.

also, next year the members hats will have to be picked up at the first home game, they will only be sent to interstate members.

Really? Doesn't bother me as I go to home games but what if you live in Bega or Lismore for example?

One would guess you would be an interstate member in that case. I live near Bega and am an interstate member.

As an interstate member in melbourne, I was very dissapointed. I have never worn the crap chinese made cap or used the cooler bag. Complete waste of time . I hope my ticket to the storm game turns up in the next few days or it has been a complete rip. I do have the sticker proudly on my car however. That is a win.

Bottle of port :drunk
I've got a really old school Sharks bottle of Port that was given to me by the father of one of the reps that comes into my work.

It's an old school One Eyed Supporter bottle. Sits proudly amoung all my other Sharks gear.

It would be good to have some sort of display item included in the membership.

Stand upgrade I have a family package in the Peter Burns stand when I watch the game at home I notice a lot of empty seats maybe they could have a stand by package, where if you buy a season GA pass you can get a stand up grade if seats are available just after kick off also if for some reason you might be unable to go to a game you can let the club know so they can sell your seat.I also think that a lot of the supporters gear is very ordinary, just have a look what other teams have to offer, a larger range and better gear just go online and get some ideas from English PL

Hi All,
Just my opinion on the membership thing, with gear I am involved in touch footy and rugby league and we do merchandise for our members and supporters. The company i work for also has a hand in the merchandise game and find it easy to put together a cheap/easy package without it being complete crap.
I have never heard so much said about product with the members pack,
Personally I haven't been a member since 2008 because I haven't been able to get to game because of my commitments with footy.
I think for a members pack you need value for money- as said earlier you are donating to the club but the paraphernalia that comes with it encourages individuals to join up and also wear it proudly.
As mention earlier people have not even worn the hat or used the eski bag.
The club hat is an awesome Idea I still wear my 2008 hat, that's something standard, then you have your key rings, names on jerseys, backpacks, whistles etc.
I'd like to see something like the following to encourage members to wear the gear loud and proud!!
Standard pack included in any memberships-
Hat
Key Ring
Members Sticker
Lanyard
Possibly the wristbands that are cheap but effective
Good quality backpack- hit the nail on the head this year just **** house quality from what I heard.
This means everyone can be apart of it and wear the stuff and display all the gear.
Club just needs to be smarter in the way they think of the memberships.

just my thoughts I am new to this whole forum thing so any feedback is good

yes, agree with the:

Hat
Key Ring
Members Sticker
Lanyard

+ maybe some discount vouchers from our sponsors and Sharks store.
(sponsors get some advertisement and members buying their products)

A bit like the show bag you get from the Easter Show, if you know what I mean.

I though the backpack was alright

True.

You know what would be good? A platinum interstate membership.

- Signed jersey
- One home game in a box seat

Stuff like that

would be all over that
only thing is it would have to be organized at the start of the year which isnt a problem

How about instead of being an interstate member, just buy 75 dollars worth of good merchandising and stop complaining?

The membership is a donation, nothing more, so be happy giving your money to a cause.
