we all get a lot of stuff in our membership packs that we do not use, but as other have said are happy
to make donation to the club. i love the members jerseys and priority ticketing rights as a member.
but to create better value why not scrape the merchandise that most us do not use and replace it with
a increase in members discount on merchandise from the current 10% to say 25%. maybe discounts
on tickets to home games as well.
why not negioate a discounted rate with a local hotel for members to make it easier for interstate or
country members to come to home games.
now i know some people are going to say other clubs other merchandaise etc, but to me this increase
discount would represent much better value. for example say i buy a jersey for $150 but with discount
save $37.50 and i go to one home game with 2 mates and get say 10% discount i probually save about
$15. over $50 saving on things i am going to buy any way would have to be better value that merchandise
i am not going to use

A forum where members can interact directly with Sharks staff, players and mermaids would be a good start.

They could post photos and videos on there, and answer peoples questions.

I already gave the example of the 'ask the coach' questions.

I agree with this mate, however they would probably need someone to be on the forum all the time, with some of these guys asking questions.

I just got some nice ideas, about membership and sponsorship. But I don't want to state them out in public in case a. The media, or b. other clubs membership/staff take it as their ideas. Maybe just email or send sharks a letter about them.

I may be repeating myself, but is there anything wrong with making the adults pack an optional extra but with better quality gear? Even if it costs a bit more. Those who don't need it save a bit of money but those who do want it get better value for what they pay.

Not a bad idea Grozzy, lets say a membership might cost say $500, in the current membership you have x amount of goodies that come with it, the Sharks might say these goodies come to the value of $30.

On the membership you have two options, option 1, tick the box if you want the goodies, option 2, you tick the box that entitles you to $30 at the Sharks store at the Leagues club where you can use the $30 worth of sharks money to go towards a polo shirt, jersey or what ever, that way you are catering for say the kids who might love the stuff you currently get where as the adults would maybe prefer the shirt or jerseys etc. You would actually get add on sales for the Sharks as well.
