If its still tied up after 80mins obviously the players are unable to sort the difference. Bring in the coaches to box on till one can't go any longer. I think Flanno would go alright over most.

I reckon the coaches should each have to fight a ref. Then the winner of the two fights have a fight. If a ref is the ultimate winner then it is a draw.

Ha ha, sounds good in theory but how do we calculate how many overs have been lost by rain?

It will depend on how many errors are conceded by the combined total of any lower grade or first grade team associated with Mitch Rein's current Club.

It definitely is not fair under the current system.

I recall a game where we rolled the Dragons at ANZ. They kicked off in GP, we rolled upfield, Ryles gave away a penalty we banged it over, game over. They never touched the ball under the golden point rules; so aside from the massive LOLZ that situation provided; it is not fair.

In touch footy and oztag if this eventuality happens the scoring team has to kick off and defend one set. Even park oztag has a better and fairer system than the NRL. Let that wash over you.

Yeah I prefer at least playing out the allotted extra time. If you're running with a good wind behind you it's definitely an unfair advantage.

What about having a "loser point"? i.e. both teams get 1 point for the draw and they battle for the extra point. The NRL would love this because more points = more ladder congestion in positions 6-12 = more interest in games over the post origin stretch.

I also think they need to remove the 7 tackle set for field goal attempts.

I like how you're thinking outside the square Burgess, but the first one leaves things open to the possibility of collusion, given the right circumstances.

No field goals on a 7th tackle is a good idea I reckon.

Mate you can't have teams playing for 3 points in a game where everyone else is playing for 2.
