Although Newcastle don't deserve anymore FTA in 2012, how'd Cronulla end up with another MNF?. At least it's away but jeez, that's my least preferred slot.

Because Fox sports picked it, it's that simple.

Thanks for the scoop

Well you did ask the question.

Seriously though, it's fairly ordinary a team can have 25% of its matches on a Monday night. The ARLC are the only ones that can change things.

We're just lucky that only 2 of the 6 have been home games. Not great for the leagues club having games on a Monday night.

Really hope they do away with Monday night footy next year.

We got another Monday night game? WOW.

That's almost 1/4 of our season!!!!!

And we can probably put that down as a lose. We just don't win on Monday's.

Correct. Especially away from home. 3 Monday night games away in 2012 equals 3 losses.

mate everyone is still writing us off and not considering us even a slim chance to win at the business end, so unfortunately i would imagine all those nuffys at channel 9 are probably thinking the same thing, they'll probly have parra v st merge on the last friday night of the season or some rubbish that resembles

Hindmarshs last game, i'd bet a squillion it'll be on FTA...

If you're in the Semi's you won't play MNF in round 26. That could end up being MNF....

These are the games for that round:

Souths v Parra
Saints v NZ
Cowboys v Newcastle
Easts v Wests
Penrith v Gold Coast
Manly v Brisbane
Melbourne v Cronulla
Canberra v Canterbury

You can basically lock in Manly v Brisbane for the Friday night, if we don't get the other Friday night game I reckon Fox will definitely pick our game for Monday night. We should be the second Friday game but we all now what channel 9 is like, they will probably pick Easts v Wests.

Depends also which game is scheduled on the Monday night for Round 23 (hasn't been scheduled yet). Neither of those two teams will be able to play the following Friday.

There's a write up in the Tele that the Chief is having a winge about the Knights playing 3 monday night games.

Makes my blood boil!
We get the wrong end of the stick way more than any club!

That article is about Home Monday night games and lost revenue. We have had 2 (Round 3 v Manly and Round 18 v Roosters) that will be it for 2012.

Good on him for sticking up for his club. He is talking about home Monday night games, this will be their third, we have had two.

I hate Monday night footy in general, get rid of it.

Edit: Beat me to it BJ. We could still get another home Monday night game yet though.

there is no way that game will be a friday night game, the afl is on friday night down there, would be a terrible crowd.

Last chance would be Round 24 vs Rabbitohs. They wont make Souths fans travel on a Monday Night. We have a home game Round 26 but no Monday Night Football. I think they play an additional Sunday game at night.
