It's a deadset 5-10 minute walk from the station. People are just lazy ****s

The walk doesn't bother me either, I just prefer to hop in my car and go straight home rather than wait around for a train, sometimes late at night and then have to look out for weirdos on the train.

Yeah i don't get that people whinge about parking -
Plenty of parking around the side streets, Franklin, Wills, Sturt, Rd etc... when leaving head straight up the kingsways
and miss the traffic along captain cook drive.

And the industrial area on the other side of Toyota has HEAPS of street parking on weekends.

But I wouldn't want the petals to have to walk 400m after watching athletes slog it out playing one of the most physically demanding games going.

What time do you have to get to the ground to jag one of those?
I pay for platinum membership purely for this, takes me long enough to get to cronulla as it is without factoring in trying to find a park etc.

Though for the first time I'm considering not joining next season, bit over driving down & back after all these years.

I can't believe able-bodied people are put off so much by a short walk. (I can understand the disabled or elderly)

When I go to an event the last thing I think about it is the 15 minutes spent walking.

It's not like it's the height of physical activity. If you're put off by it you really need to look at your health and fitness. This is a very concerning cultural trend.

It's insane hey. I mean, I can walk from the station to the ground in a cigarettes time, maybe I am a fast walker but it's seriously not an issue. They also do shuttles to and from the ground from the station on game day.

Besides if you are going with someone have a quick chat about the game and talk to others around you. Makes the walk fly by.

The walk back to the car gives me time to absorb another crap home game performance

It's gunna be worse next year when Sydney FC book the soccer ground next door for their Grand Final

Car trip with Gards -

- Walk from ground to car
-Wait at car while Gards decides whether its been long enough since his last beer as to if he can drive or not
- Digs through car for breathaliser
- Batteries dead
- Walk back to servo at other side of ground to buy batteries (and i get an ice cream)
- Walk back to car
- Put batteries in, still doesnt work
- Fend off guy with motorbike who wants us to put it in the boot and drop him to Bangor
- get in car and drive home anyway
