I don't think Ange is a yes man. He quit the Socceroos after winning Asian Cup and prior to the WC because they didn't want to give him more power and didn't share his vision for the future of the game in Aus. He didn't feel the support.

He got into Celtic management that they needed to loosen the purse strings and spend more money (which they did)

I don't think he would agree to the Spurs job if the understanding was that he was just to politely take orders - surely they could have hired someone else to fill that role.

Ange has his own approach on recruitment and playing a positive style of football (attack, possession, high defensive press) with structures to suit. He is big on work ethic and morale.

Not having him run his own race his own way negates the very benefits you get from a manager like him. Sure Ange still gets a big pay day either way but no doubt he wants success in the big league after leaving a club where he was loved. I don't think he is out to have a terrible time.

Levy is apparently taking another step back further from the football side of things when the new Director of Football is brought onboard and it will be this person Ange is gunna have to try and get on the same page with regarding recruitment as Spurs have their own philosophy.

The squad has some problems and the view is that Kane won't stay to play Angeball which is a concern considering the goals he bagged.

Ange's task is monumental but he's a smart operator and has found success with his past ventures domestically and abroad - the guys a winner. Even if you look at the Brisbane Roar they went from being one of the best A-League teams we have seen to falling in a heap when he departed.

As for Spurs fans being negative, what exactly are they holding onto? They are a middle of the road team that bitch about how dull and negative they play to grind out a 0-1 loss.

There are Spurs fans on the other side of it that see what Ange can bring if the higher ups let him and are excited about his appointment. Some of the previous big name managers apointed had their own baggage and ego's that came with them. Ange is like a fresh start.

Even if they don't taste immediate success (which is a big ask) if he has them playing attractive football he will win over more fans while showing them there is hope.

Then he’s an idiot. If Spurs fans actually had a closer look at what he does other then just look at the CV then they’d see he could be exactly what they need.

Youri Tielemans: Leicester >>>>>>> Aston Villa. Free transfer. DONE DEAL.

Villa just announced it. He dropped off horribly this season, but if Villa can get him back to how he was a few years ago it might end up being a decent bit of business.

Weird player hey! His best is really good, but his worst is atrocious. Looked guilty of checking out this season.

I still think it’s a great signing though

as much as i would have loved him, price and wages we can get 3 in cheaper and on less wages

we need a rebuild, however, i think if we made top 4 we would have gone for him and mount

Doing good business Villa, i really rate Emery, if he can get a tune out of Tielemens and now Pau Torres. There improvement under him this season after Gerrard was eye catching. I would have him at Pool if Klopp was to ever leave.

any prem fan on here regardless of the team you follow i highly recommend watching the dele alli interview done with gary neville .
it gives an amazing insight to his rise and fall as well as the reasoning .
Be prepared for some scary insights into a really broken home aswell as other insights into what footballers go through drug wise behind the scenes
To say it was an eye opener wouldn't come close to giving dele the credit he truly deserves and so does gary neville he truly held the interview together in such a humane perfect way that allowed dele to feel comfortable enough to let everything out that he obviously felt needed to be heard.

Man that interview was intense, i had to watch it in 3 parts

Very confronting

Neville held himself incredibly well but Deli, what a man. What a human.
Had no right to make it passed 15
