Yeah, IF this rumour is true, I would want Cam extended.

Maybe Fitz has given Dale the “we want you to play Front row” next year so he can play Cam at lock speech and Dale has said “**** off”!

“okay Dale, happy for you to test the market”

all speculation of course!
I reckon he beat Fitz in a wrestling match. Rules are if you beat the coach you become the coach. Has to be moved on because we just extended Fitz.

Couldn't imagine Dale saying that. He would play fullback if the coach asked him to.

I could be wrong but I feel Fitz would think Dale is exactly what we need at our club next year. Especially with Wade gone.

I think Fitz would see everything else he does around the club with training, recovery, attitude, culture etc.

This is what Fitz has said about Dale during his interviews etc over the past year or so.
If we want someone to fill the plodder role, that’s Teig

If we want someone to fill the veteran role, that’s McInnes

Yeah wow. If we can get rid of Moylan also that would free up 1 mil.
Not much on the market though so not sure if we should be releasing Dale at this stage.

Dale might go if he could get a solid multi year Super League deal. Could bring a lot of knowledge and professionalism to a smaller English club to give him good enough value to not lose out on the millionish we still owe him.

Expect him to finish his contract though

Can’t see him going unless he gets more money elsewhere. He looks like he’s at the stage of the family man doing what’s best for his family… a bit like Wade the past couple of years. This was his retirement contract

I reckon he will be with us next season and shop himself for 2025 where he is on cheap coin.
Look for a bigger (multi year) offer and then ask for a release

Unless he can go somewhere now for a 3 year deal and get that extra year.

Still doubt Fitz would be open to him leaving next year with Wade going.

Cam should be 13 full time. Nearly made state of origin. Finucane to bench prop. A bench of Dale, Hunt, Haze and Willaims is a bloody good bench.
Rather start Finucane alongside Uele, move Talakai to bench impact and then have Rudolf fight for a shirt in the 17

Not this **** again.

Let's blame the finals loss on the bloke who didn't play, and let's fix the team by moving a bloke who plays heaps of his minutes at prop... to prop.

If you want to start him from the bench to mix things up and bring his minutes down a little - sure - but whether you tell him to replace the bloke wearing #10 or #13 Dale Finucane is going to play like Dale Finucane, and Cameron McInnes is not going to be playing 80 every week.

Why the Rudolf hate? For a guy that was not training during the week and wearing a boot and having needles to play I thought he was good.

We’re a better team with a fit Toby, BHU and Finucane

Who would have thought that a team would under-perform with only 1 good leg between their starting 3 middles?

Toby's been copping heaps. "Plays too many minutes" seems to be the main criticism (runs less, makes mistakes and misses tackles when he is tired). I looked at this in great detail a few weeks ago, and it's nonsense.

Yep. Despite how often it's mentioned, the middle-forward injuries we had this year are still really undersold as a reason for us not reaching another level this year.

No blame here. But Cam is an inspiration on the field and puts in every minute of every game when on the field. He’s intelligent and a ball playing lock that’s middle. Never complains, never alters his efforts. Yep he’s missing teeth and Nicho may look better on a billboard but Cam is built for captaincy.

I’ve changed my tune on Nicho somewhat. Turned his form around, but so not a captain. Too fragile and emotional during games. He seems to always be pushing players and complaining. Whether it to be to the touchie, ref or pushing opposition players. Not a captains temperament.

Dale off the bench brings the energy. As would all of hunt, haze, Williams off the bench.

Really? I haven't seen too much of that tbh.

Sure, it's happened but I wouldn't call it a regular thing.
