Everyone knows what a captain is supposed to bring, it’s not rocket science - It’s more is Dale bringing that

No one knows for sure but you can only assume from the output the group/captain puts out

Still not one of our best signings IMO. I don't dislike the bloke, just the amount of cap he's been taking up.

For the same price, if we were lucky, we could have scored a good mobile prop.

“If a guy isn’t one of your best players week in week out he doesn’t bring leadership and other players don’t respect him” to often seems to be the analysis

Without being able to quantify myself what he brings off field, yeah I’ve been very disappointed. Too many suspensions and injury - one more avoidable than the other.
Generally plays well, especially a lot of little things and non nonsense runs and defence. But for the money we need him out there more.

Only bys absence.

People have ridiculous expectations of him. They have this idea of Finucane in their head that doesn't match the player that he actually is, or ever was. He's the same guy, playing the same way.

Yep - it's this and only this. Nothing at all wrong with his level of play when he's been on the park. Still consistently one of the best players imo.

After the Storm game people on here were calling for him to retire. I thought he was the Sharks best player in the first half.

I didn't think that much of him at the Storm to be honest. Did his job in a well-drilled unit.

Interesting one. We lose a bit of experience with Wade going next year. Remember he's not on much the year after next.

If he is he’s been given permission by the club. Seems like the type of bloke who would move on so the team is better off. Could use that money for an actual game breaker instead of a game saver.

I could be wrong but I feel Fitz would think Dale is exactly what we need at our club next year. Especially with Wade gone.

I think Fitz would see everything else he does around the club with training, recovery, attitude, culture etc.

This is what Fitz has said about Dale during his interviews etc over the past year or so.

I’d be more worried about losing him if McInnes wasn’t a complete lunatic.

Yeah, IF this rumour is true, I would want Cam extended.

Maybe Fitz has given Dale the “we want you to play Front row” next year so he can play Cam at lock speech and Dale has said “**** off”!

“okay Dale, happy for you to test the market”

all speculation of course!
