I so agree with the speakers. Or at least give us a break from the wall of noise pre-game. If you're in front of the speakers, the only time you can really chat with people is once the game starts.
they are so bad dude. its awful. i have emailed the club about it. i implore all to do so until its fixed.

I imagine they need to get the league club finished before they spend money on any facilities, barring an unforeseen issue.

I couldn't tell you if we are at that point already - I haven't been for more than 20 years. Sounds like you think they are though - what facilities are we missing?

As for turning the speakers down, everyone in here always says we have a very quiet crowd, the speakers might turn down the crowd turned up
the crowd is quiet because we get tortured pregame by fatman scoop and ja rule blasting at us..
then we are told to get loud having been subjected to torture for 20 minutes.

im now deaf sharks, thanks.

the toilets need an upgrade, they need to re open the bar and toilets etc under the burns stand. thats been closed since it re opened.
if they cant..then its the same

long term i think we need more corporate space and more actual seating. but thats very very very very far away with no GOVT money

I've been going to Shark Park since 1980, unfortunately we've always had quiet crowds for whatever reason.

The toilets are terrible.

I really worry about our ground, like really worry. It's going to become dilapidated at a rapid rate without money being spent on it and I just can't see any government giving us much.

I think so and I just can't see how we can afford it. It needs more than a few million spent on it.

Good point there matty. If your season pass allows that entry, fair play. Should he an option to have mens or womens only though to save the punter money
I am happy for that. It saves a few bucks and get an extra several games of footy.

my only issue with membership is the vouchers I think it’s a waste of money spending it on membership merchandise, not the clubs merch

its bad merch too

fundamentally i think the way membership is structured is outdated and could be done so much better hey. especially at a club like ours

Would agree. I would be happy to spend the voucher and extra $$ on club merchandise (aka jersey), not the membership merch is only for that year. I passed on my frustration on it, but falls on deaf ears

Does seem odd to restrict it to certain merch - could open it up to all merch but also with membership you have option of some 'members only' gear like scarves/hats/keychains with year.

My guess is they have less cost they spend on each members merch item (greater mark up) so costs them less to give you vouchers towards that.
That way for every dollar you spend over your vouchers they make money at an accelerated rate. While also having good profits on items which cost them more, like that jersey you order even though you already have a members hat and scarf from voucher (because you couldn't use voucher on a jersey).

The Sharks Note to Members as I understand it:

Dear Members,

Well, here we are, trying to figure out what to do with this place we picked up at 94 Cronulla Street. Originally, we thought we'd have more to tell you at the Members Information Night on November 23, but, honestly, we're a bit stumped.

At the moment, our best idea is to put up a 'for lease' sign and let other folks take a crack at it. We hope this prevents anyone from worrying too much about what's going on with this Cronulla Street property.

We're still convinced that acquiring 94 Cronulla Street was a smart move, but as for what's next, it's a bit of a head-scratcher. We're letting the market have a say, and there's talk about possibly moving the Sharks Merchandise Store back to the new Leagues Club in Woolooware. But really, your guess is as good as ours.

For now, the Sharks Store will keep on chugging at its current spot in Sharks at Kareela, and, of course, you can always shop online.

Speaking of the Leagues Club in Woolooware, we're hoping our partners will clue us in on what to do next. And as for when it might open, well, we're not making any promises, but 2024 seems like a distant possibility.

Remember the Members Information Night, though, on November 23, from 6-8pm at Sharks at Kareela. If you want to RSVP, good luck finding that link!

Thanks for your patience and support as we navigate this slightly confusing journey.

Sincerely,
Dino Mezzatesta

Sorry that’s an absolute **** take.

Ok fine, if you can’t justify the increase in costs then by all means don’t renew- though it’s not an airport so don’t need to keep announcing your departure.

However the club needs money to be competitive, as we all know costs have gone up. You don’t think it’s more expensive to run a football club, especially with no leagues club and reduced capacity.

You expect them to absorb these costs. At the expense of what- potentially less money for the Football club, decreasing our capacity to be competitive?
Fine, you can keep pumping your money into the club, thats how clubs operate on the back of mindless morons like yourself blinding giving them $ after $.
As for me, the club can go f**k itself and i honestly couldnt care less whether they finished top or bottom anymore.
