Seriously what was the alternative option? They wanted to sign Fitzy and i 100% support that. If they dragged that on well into the season the ship sails on some potential signings when noone knows who the coach will be next year. Once fitzy was signed there wasnt much choice but to pay Morris out and let him go. Every win would be questions of if we did the right thing getting a new coach, every loss its pushing the daggers in harder.

There was never going to be a perfect way to handle a coach change over that makes it work for everyone

I would rather be in a position to question did they do the right thing if we were winning games this year. Much better than watch the club fall to a wooden spoon. This is exactly what the board wanted, the team to fall apart this year to say “see we told you we needed a new coach/roster”...... but they sacrificed the season to make them look good.

if they really wanted what was best for THE CLUB and THE FANS they would have kept Morris on and said “go win us a premiership” even if it makes their decision look questionable. They believe in their direction and they will be accountable for that next year so this year shouldn’t effect that decision.

What you just said is the most retarded thing ive read on this forum.

No the club did not sack the coach to tank the season to make them look like they made the right call. There is stakeholders at play who will be demanding success. Name another club who has signed a new coach, given thenother coach a tap on the shoulder but theyve played out the season?

Most other situation the coach ‘quits’ when the writing is on the wall. When in reality they sre forced to quit but told they can publicly quit as it keeps fuss to a minimum

My preference was to keep Morris but I have no issue with them wanting Fitz. Just shouldn't have strung Morris along when it was obvious they didn't want him.

Could have been handled better.....but here we are.

Going to be a long few months.

With the alternative being we tell Morris before we sign his replacement and potentially miss out on both.

No, they obviously didn't want Morris full stop. You're kidding yourself if you think they wouldn't have found someone else if they didn't get Fitz.

How many times can a bloke be told no before he gets the hint though? Honestly?

If you ask for 3 extensions before Christmas and are turned back every time...

Read Dino's SMH interview. It was going a lot smoother to plan until **** like "pole position" got into the media narrative surprisingly after meeting JMo's management.

I agree, moving on is all we can do. Dino only 1 left to back. It's done now.

First time I'd heard the figures about Kareela's growth. Riccio said they bought it for about 4.6 and is now almost valued 3x.

Yeah pretty good.

I think it may have been rezoned since they bought it? Could be wrong.

Possibly, there's potential to develop the site. Apartments I assume.

Also looking at a third site too, though that was hinted at late last year I think.

Yeah. Would be good if they diversified at some stage rather than solely sticking with clubs. Then again, I guess that's the business they know best.
