I have an NRL news junkie mate of mine (south’s fan) who reckons the division in the board at the sharks is toxic and it’s all about the coach. I know nothing, but could there be any truth to this?

No idea if it's toxic but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there's division regarding the coach.

I’ve heard on this forum that Dino doesn’t want Flanno back, so fingers crossed Morris does well in the first 10 rounds and that should put it to bed.

Yeah I hope so too. I'm not keen on revisiting the past, need to move on.

Best case scenario for mine is get Bellamy and extend JMo for another two years.

Bellamy on board would be brilliant. Someone did report that he wanted to sort out his future before Round 1 so hopefully we find out soon.

Those on the board who want Flanno back need their heads read.

I read that as well, hopefully that's the case and it doesn't drag on.

Can't see him having any interest in sitting on a board mate.

Agreed. And I don’t think Morris is getting enough credit.

I thought it was Dino & Mace don't want Flanno back, but he still has support from other board members so could be a prickly situation if Dino & Mace don't have the numbers to keep Bomber

Plus Dino isn't on the board.

How could John Morris be so divisive as to turn the board 'toxic'? Unless you've gotta go shirtless next to him there'd be no reason to dislike the bloke.

Seriously with the way the last 2 years have gone for us (sacked coach, retiring veterans, drug ban for a promising junior, playing under the cap, playing home games away, covid), getting to the finals in his first 2 years should be considered pretty solid by the board

Maybe they see things outsiders don’t

Without a doubt. JMo just seems like a bloke who'd be hard not to get along with. Might be a real **** in private.

Don’t think being hard not to get along with is a trait you would look for to make or break it as a coach .. just think maybe they see things in his coaching style day to day we might not and have their reservations about it

I don't know I don't employ a lot of coaches & live hrs from Cronulla so you're probably right they see stuff I don't.

It was just a throw away comment that Bomber doesn't seem the divisive type & thus some must be really keen on someone else rather than really against him. IMO - from a long way away.
