I’m happy with the CEO appointment. If you go to the next AGM and listen to him speak, you’ll see that he knows what he’s doing. My main fear was that he would be pushed out and others on the board take on both roles.

I also don’t think there would be many other high flying CEOs willing to work out of temporary offices and golf clubs for 2+ years. We’ve tried a footy head like Barry Russell and an outside corporate type like Munro. At least Dino has shown he will stick around

Action speaks louder than words and history will judge his performance.
I hope for the the club sake he is as good as what you believe SF.

We haven’t had the best run in regards to our Administrators.
Either lacking skill and over their heads or in it for themselves to gain some financial benefit.
I just hope he does move the club forward into a strong position.
We don’t have another big plot of dirt to bail us out next time!

Is it deal having a group CEO? Do other clubs do this?

Good question... it would help better with operations side of things rather then having one person trying to juggle operations of both sides.

I agree also - he has good vision for the club what what I have seen and read, as the CEO will be able to implement this vision. Maybe Munro was limiting this vision. I now Dino is all for the CoE and under Munro I feel that wasn't moving forward fast enough given the ground is out for the next two years which means now if the time to make it happen.

Happy with this. Actually thought he might get the gig based on a hunch when I read he'd left The Star.

Are the Football club and the Leagues club separate entities, ie separate boards and management?

It’s a good appointment.

Go and listen to the Shark Cast interview from last year if you have any doubts.

At least when he talks he sounds like he knows what he’s talking about.

The Self-Reporter and the other guy who I can’t even remember his name were out of their depth.

Dino will be just fine.

The latest podcasts suggest they'll be another interview with Dino soon. With the recent announcement they'll cover off on his new role you'd imagine.
