Smartest response in here. Too bad he's not available. This is as much about man management as it is about footy nous. You can have 10 assistants who know enough about footy to devise a game plan, formulate a defence and structure attack.

The impact of the suspension will be significant and on top of the emotional turmoil of 2013 I think 2014 will be a massive struggle without Flano. I don't rate him as a coach, I believe he deserves to be suspended and probably for longer and it looks like he has played a major role in bringing the club to its knees.

Having said that I am also sure he has been the glue that kept the team together. That goes missing and it could be time for tears and snots.

Sheens should be the choice.

Bennet likes a challenge, but I'd worry he'd bring old his old boys with him to play for us. To be honest, I see Sharp taking over as a caretaker coach. I envision the club standing by flanno (unless something more concrete surfaces in regards to endangering player welfare etc). I wouldn't mind Henry. Maguire is off contract as of 2014, but I doubt we could afford 700K+.

It's not an obsession with a coach having a media presence - Far from it. It is however, and understanding and appreciation of what a personality like Kimmorley could do for a club in our current position. The Sharks have always struggled to attract any positive media attention, never more so then now. Quite obviously the ability to actually coach is the first priority , but with a view to the future image of our club - we could use all the help we can get!

With regard to Hasler and Bennett , while they are usually quite reserved when dealing with the media, the press hang on their every word! Effectively creating a bit of their own presence under a cloak of mystique!

Fair enough. To me it's not a big deal though. Pick the best available man for the job, if he has a good media presence it's just a bonus.

Just a question.

How did Noddy's come up in all of this, has there been any interview or discussion with him about it ?

Sharpie could do the job for 2014. That would make the most sense to me.

He was quoted somewhere as saying he has not had any discussions with the club but did play golf with a few of the board.

So you put 1 and 25 together and get 42

That worked really well keeping the players together at the tigers. No offence mate, but that is the worst suggestion of the thread yet & contradicts the previous content in your post.

No to Sheens

I'm ok if it ends up being Noddy

Just don't try to sly dog the NRL by paying Flanno and allowing him to have input.
