Titans are the concern, I think. Our F/A is marginally better but we'll get pumped by Storm if they play anything remotely resembling their full strength team.

Really need Newcastle to beat them this week otherwise I think we're toast.
I agree, that's how I see it. Raiders loss to Warriors would be handy as play Roosters last game who may have conceded top 4 and rest players last game, not that they have many to rest with their injuries however they may not compete physically risking further injuries thereby allowing Raiders to win. A Roosters win against Rabbitohs would help as they would need to beat Raiders to clinch 4th.

If I was CT I would be tanking the next two games and dedicate it to our forum!

I know, I know - you are thinking he just plays his normal game then!

The gift that keeps on giving 😅

"One of the main reasons is (Townsend) is a good talker and he's got a good kicking game."

Townsend keeps his spot in the halves for this weekend's match against the Raiders, with O'Sullivan replacing Harris-Tavita, who has a foot injury, at five-eighth.

Brown said Townsend's right boot is a significant asset, and didn't blame last weekend's close result on his choice of halves.

I found it interesting that Flanno when commentating on one of his games said Chad wasn't a noted talker on the field. Everyone's perspective is different I suppose.

From what I see he seems like a talker so found Flanno's comment interesting. Thought that and his hair was his best attributes.

Chad is as politically correct as you can get, listened in to two of his podcasts which is the Cronulla Beer Co he set up with his mates, he speaks really well, polished etc & knows when to put a plug in here & there for people.

He might do a lot of peoples head in with his footy or ability but he’s definitely a smart cookie when it comes to setting himself up etc, good luck to him.

I think that might just have changed over time. He's a lot more confident (cocky?) than in 2016, that's for sure

standard transmission returns for the Warriors

the small amount I have seen and heard of Chad @ the Warriors seems he has gone ok

the talking / kicking game comments crack me up every time though. Was it Gal that said no body listens to Chad on the field when he was playing? hahaha

There is literally no way of knowing

Warriors fans are happy to play him over their other option of SOS (although they get both this weekend) and even more happy they aren't stuck with him. Potentially could have gone a little better for them if one of his first touches he didn't hurt his AC joint.

I have never seen that comment credited to anyone but would be interested to.
Flanno said he doesn't talk much on the field which does not necessarily conflict with his praised ability to talk which must instead just be between play and training etc, or that he guides what sets the teams will do, which was confirmed by Ennis that it was Chad directing them around the park in 2016.

Flanno stuck with Chad all those years so the talking aspect obviously isn't everything to him as a coach even if he gave the excuse of Todd Murphy not getting a run cause his talking game is no scratch hahaha

Also according to current media reports of Townsend at the Warriors he is both a mentor and a star

Yes.
Chad has played 4 games this stint for the Warriors and so far he has 4 losses.
To be fair, losses against Panthers, Rabbits and inform Broncos.
Should have beaten the Dragons (his first game) thou.

Hopefully he can change that this week and get a “W” on the board.

Well he did have a hand in something like 4 tries, plus a couple of no tries, and his team only lost because of goal kicking.

I was at the Warriors/Bulldogs game. Their fifth tackle options were diabolical.

And before anyone wants to throw a pot shot - No CT was not the goal kicker!

Walsh was having having a shocker so he probably should have that might have won. Once Walsh got the Yips it was game over.

We do actually need the Warriors to win the next two games so i'm hoping Chad has some career best games
