Played a very Chad role last night.
Looked to get a bit left behind when the others were lifting. Would have loved to have seen him step.

And does he have an issue with his left side passing? When he went into hooker his service to that side was really wobbly.

Except he found the grass with his kicking game

Yeah I would agree here - the conditions didn’t suit Tricky and Will but they have to be able to adjust to all conditions ..
Probably haven't had enough opportunity to train in wet conditions this off season with its La Nina conditions .

The key positives from last night were
(1) no obvious injuries for the Sharks involved &
(2) hopefully Rapana is watching from the stands in Rd 1

Cotter's service from hooker was awful for him and Laurie's absolute lack of coaching ability were I think the biggest factors in his performance.

Much more concerned with how he goes in the trials personally

Agreed on both points.
in fact, I think I’d commented with something very similar in the Andrew Fifita thread.

Confirmed he's not playing.. but it's not because of last night. Was already suspended due to a drink driving charge in the off season.

Will miss Rd 2 due to last night.

Either way good result. After last year I like the feeling of winning Rd 1 and wouldnt mind keeping it up.

Braydon picked up where he left off from last season. Good first half but he got tired and started making mistakes before being given a rest on the sidelines.

Once he figures out what this first grade stuff is all about and gets that week to week confidence within himself he could be a very good player. Decision making and execution under fatigue another area for improvement.

Has ability no doubt but handling and pass selection can let him down and then he struggle to recover from it, maybe tries too hard from there. Tough conditions to trot out in first game of the year though.

Still liked what I saw from him though

Not putting a redline through him yet. Played behind a ordinary sharks forward pack.
I agree with not putting a redline through him, but he was terrible today even in defense he was awful. A bad miss on Geyer for his first try and a horrible read on Penrith's 3rd try

They didn’t make him not tackle Geyer twice or half the other dumb **** he did

Seen enough good from him before he’s not a write off but certainly didn’t do himself any favours and may well have cost himself a 14 (even if he doesn’t get suspended)
Based on that I’d rather him play Jets 7 for 80 than NRL 14 anyway

Not putting a red line through him either, but an average forward pack didn't make him throw an intercept on first tackle and a useless grubber on 2nd.
