Though this bloke played fine in both finals games. He will be better in his first year then all of Jaydens years.

He just had his first year and he wasn't

But hopefully in his second year he will be better than Jayden was this year (year 3)

I honestly think he offered less than Jayden in FG this year and that's saying something.

will be fairer to judge him after a couple full seasons in firsts but I don't think we can afford to be as patient this time around and should 100% keep on the look out for alternative options that may present themselves.
hooker is way too important a position to **** around with. especially with the spastics that make up the rest of our spine. it just handbrakes your forwards and your attack

Even having good halves doesn't compensate for it

Agree with all of that, 100% can't get complacent with Blayke. Hope I'm wrong but I'll be amazed if he lives up to the promise.

He also played the equivalent of about 5 NRL games if you put together all his minutes, so it's not surprising he offered less considering how much more Jayden played this year, and Jayden has played 50 more games.

I reckon we kept the wrong one. Blakes passing is appalling and still a midget who will get targetted all day. Its a worry next year!

Well if we kept the wrong one we'd be in trouble anyway as Jayden offered nothing in attack. Blayke has more attack atleast and a kicking game in him atleast.

I don't get this passing criticism, not sure what you guys are looking for/at ? Yes I know his pass to Trindall for the FG was dreadful but one or two bad passes can be excused. To say it's appalling though ? I don't see it.

Besides the club made the decision, happy to leave it up to them, they know a **** load more than anyone on this forum about who's better.

I think he's actually taller than Jayden if the websites are too believed, but he defn needs to pack on some weight, which is what pre season is for.

Blayke was "OK" for the Jets late, but it is not surprising he wasn't a stand out considering how few games he played with the team and how few games he actually played this season. People think that when an NRL calibre player drops down to that level they should automatically dominate, but it rarely happens that way. Brailey played a month with that team after barely playing all year and it showed. Given that he was their best player in the second half of last season I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

this aught to trigger some discussion

already looks better than his brother after being given the full time starting responsibilities. good service and plays around the ruck. pretty simple but he can expand upon his game as time goes on. seems to gel better and seem more connected and coordinated with his spine players than jayden as well

encouraging effort tonight
