That was a long time ago mate. I'm not convinced that he is anywhere near where he was. He was awful in his last season of league.

benji is better than anything we have in attack right now, bar cam smith junior of course

Benji was out of form because he tried to go all Harlem Globe Trotters and make every move one for the highlights reel.

Flanno will dumb him down just enough to balance things out again. Benji will be bored into submission and go for slightly less spectacular but higher percentage plays.

Call me a dribbler if you want, but a few good points were raised. Particularly about how he has to change his game and how he'll have to accept the fact that he can't earn ridiculous money if he does comeback, a bitter pill for someone with the giant inflated ego of Benji. One thing the article didn't cover was Marshall's liability in defence. I would like at least one of our halves have the ability to tackle someone. I'm starting to warm to him a little bit. But not completely convinced yet. If he is willing to accept minimum wage, maybe.....

It's funny lots go on about benji's ego, but I happen to bump into him down here in melb 3-4 years ago when the tigers were here... He was cruising around 'the tan' which most know is a real popular running walking track across from AAMI, plenty of pervs there too which is properly why I was there at the time... I spotted him as he went for a run said g'day about 20min later I had slowed to walking pace he pulled up and we had a great chat for 15 mins as we walked back.. Was a absolute top guy...
