He looked good in the trial on weekend, what struck me was that he didn't have to try and be "the go to", he was invariably attracting several defenders and passing off, so maybe our backs will get better earlier ball and he can pick and choose when he has a go. Certainly put some uncertainty into those Eagles defenders with acceleration and late fluid passing.

I'm liking what you say stormshark.

Looking forward to this season.

Barbers got that yappy little dog thing going on at the moment... I like it. Just like when he was with the doggies...

Musta done good.

I'll watch the game properly Saturday or Sunday once the replay records on Fox, but Barba seemed involved. All round the game seemed a bit "meh" from my view.

No disagree I thought he had a good game.
Looked fit, ran the ball took on the defense

Bit hard for him with JT in the side that controls the play.

which begs the question, if we were to get dce is it going to be a problem with dce as half back

I don't think do, Foran gets his fair share of the ball at Manly playing down the left side although if I was coach of the Sharks & & I had DCE & Barba as my halves I wouldn't play them down one side only.

I thought he played OK he was not trying to beat the world last night , another good chance for him to get a bit more experience as a 6 in good company. Good distribution CRISP passing.

It was still only in real terms a trial , he did not get hurt and did not appear to shirk any tackles so not to bad. Playing alongside Thurston won.t hurt his learning curve

I disagree saying that Ben Barba would not play well if we had a dominant half is ludicrous, it was an exhibition match not many combinations clicked.
Wasn't the best game heap if penalties
