Like said above who cares who wins lets just look at how many members we have signed up in the last 2 weeks alone.

In 19 days we have signed up 512 members thats an average of 27 members a day.

Thats really great for us considering we are supposed to be bad at getting members.

Great work from Jardz, Jess and the other membership people.

I hope the Sharks are say putting their effort into getting just 20 new platinum members at a gross $20,000 rather than petty little promotions to sell dog memberships like Manly do.

The club has done great no doubt, regardless of the final result, the member numbers are fantastic for a club that has performed so bad on the field for 3 years.

The 2 points against the tigers will bring us more $ the following week against newcastle at home than any $10000 in this BOB comp

So if it ends on Friday why is the club doing the Open day on Saturday ? Couldn't they have atleast done the Oporto Bay during the week to crank up the numbers ?

It's all about the $ & more people are gunna be available on a Saturday arvo. It's about selling seats,
which is guaranteed income, the $10k is a bonus.

I think it's more the fact the club is giving a big **** you to the NRL for the treatment we got last year.

I'm with the club on ths one.

Because we'll get more money doing it on Saturday as people won't be at work.

Rather than make up dog and cat memberships to try and win this stupid competition it looks like the Sharks are focusing on making money through memberships. We've already made more money than last year and we won our membership competition last year. I call that a success.

I get the feeling people obsess over this because they want bragging rights or something.

The reality is these membership competitions are a farce and the winner is typically the person that came flog off the most amount of absolutely worthless memberships.

This is 100% correct, mate. Last year, Manly gave away free memberships to kids - and these memberships counted towards their total - and they still lost!:lmao

This year they have a $5 membership for kids under 9 which gets them into all games. They can also purchase a $55 pack which has the cap etc. So, people only have to spend $5 to get a membership for their kids which boosts the numbers manly has.

They also still have the stupid pet memberships for $40. I wonder if rover appreciates the lanyard, key ring, sticker and membership card, as he snores on his membership blanket. Honestly, what sort of wank would buy a membership for their dog or even worse, cat?
