Alot of the membership jump would be due to Carney's performance in that trial game, for better or for worse

sounds a bit suss to me, could be the cynic in me but our numbers were slow werent they and now going gangbusters?

Did we hold off on putting some through until the battle began?

Dont get me wrong im all for it but we arentt the 5th most supported club in the league, we would be in the bottom 4 in regards to member numbers.

Just sayin.

I personally think all clubs would have done that this year. Some clubs numbers looked very sus in comparison to the rest of their campaign.

As if the NRL can monitor it closely....with their reputation for diligence....

Not that i care if we win :p

Hey shark shocked... mate if ya gonna think the same as me prepare to be ridiculed for having an opinon that goes against the general trend.

Hughesy... and MB... thanks for your sarcastic replies but in the future if i respect the opinions of others on here id expect the same from you, especially someone who helps run this forum.

Im not a glass half empty person ALL THE TIME... in this case i think something is a bit odd, how long did our figure sit just above 2000? Anyway it is what we report it 'to be'.

Last time i give game updates on this forum.

I have been away for the weekend but I know there was a Guinness world record attempt in Cronulla mall today with
People dressed as superheroes,
I think the number was around 1100 and a few sharks players were there dressed up.

It would have been a good opportunity to have them handing out membership battle of beach spreading the world

Maybe they did I don't know?

not all that mch difference to be honest.

we can still sell a few more

Are Harvey Norman doing their Supporter Bay again? That happening in the final week of the Battle would blow the others away.

(although I suppose they've all got plans for the final week)

Honestly though, if these numbers are accurate I'm incredibly under whelmed

No Idea

Jardz?

it is and it isnt.

our club has had 2 main pushes already. 1000 in a week and the members jersety cutoff date.
most people who weren't already a member would have signed up.

and those how weren't going to wont so that's that.

the bigger clubs are only about 300 ahead.

Titans are appauling numbers. that said....their tickets are terribly expensive.

3 weeks out from Round 1....

I'd honestly expect most people who are going to purchase season tickets to have already done that, yonks ago.

Would be interesting to hear from Jardz what the percentage of people that purchase their memberships after the usual members renewal date compared to that of how many do, would provide a great insight as to how many core supporters and how many make their decisions each around / after round 1.

If any team really wanted to win this battle, they'd just hold off on doing their renewals until then, ultimately making it much harder for the club, but it would be a guaranteed win :p

I can't wait for the nrl to pop the champagne corks for the Roosters. Should be in stark contrast to our reception last year.

who cares. They get 10 measly grand. **** all in the scheme of our debt, not to mention nobody gave a **** last year.

We need to win on the field, not these trivial competitions. A few wins will get the bandwagon rolling. Create that late 90s hype about the club, you know back when we thought glory was possible.

Not that I care who wins.

But what I care is the fact that are still signing members, well done
