It's numbers since 9am yesterday right?

They don't seem that low?

Did we push for sign ups on fanday but not submit them yet? I hope so, would have been a great tactic.

The one I'm looking at says updated today, and only 88 members: http://www.nrl.com/membership/tabid/10691/default.aspx

I know this was just one week last year (and it's barely started this year) but it had 1665 members in a week last time: http://www.nrl.com/final-countdown-in-battle-of-the-beaches/tabid/10874/newsid/61252/default.aspx

From memory it was much earlier in the membership advertising.

Plus wasn't there a fair amount of confusion as to whether this would go ahead again this year? Wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't overly on our radar this year. Whereas last year we seemed to target it.

Hopefully this time it's just being used as a tactic to shore up membership numbers and keep the push going... aren't we doing quite well compared to recent years?

In your head, rent free
What was the 10k for though? It'd be good to hear from the club on this. It was some marketing thing? Was it actually worthwhile? The best marketing that could have come from it would have been for nrl.com to acknowledge us as winners considering all of the press we got last year was based on how low our member numbers were.

wasnt the 10k to be used for advertising?

it wouldnt surprise me one bit if we paid that popular midget to do up up cronulla and get 300k youtube hits

Didn't Harvey Norman jump on board last year, regarding, Half Price tickets in their Bay? Which gave us good numbers during the Battle of the Beaches.

yeah i thought Harvey Norman did it during the battle of the beach and wasn't there a different promotion for each day last year to get more members?

Still comming 5th overall in terms of clubs, beating all teams in the 'battle of the west' and 'inter city showdown.

Overall standins:

1. Knights 311
2. Broncos 292
3. Rabbits 284
4. Dragqueens 277

Sharkies doing real well big congrats to jardz, Jess and every other person at the sharks!!!

Also just to note this is a 3 week competition and ends on the 24th of Feb most likely end of bussiness day.

sounds a bit suss to me, could be the cynic in me but our numbers were slow werent they and now going gangbusters?

Did we hold off on putting some through until the battle began?

Dont get me wrong im all for it but we arentt the 5th most supported club in the league, we would be in the bottom 4 in regards to member numbers.

Just sayin.
