For arguments sake, we are 200k over the cap & need to be -353k under for the next two seasons, rather than releasing a player could we not go to say our top 20 earners & say, 'we need a favour from all of you, to keep this squad together & not having to release anyone can you all take a 10k paycut for 2019 season'

Considering or forward options coming through, a 3 year deal actually sounds like a win for Ava. And let's face it, he could likely be back in a year with a good showing over there.

Turns 28 this year, not guaranteed much game time this year which will only hurt any deals for 2020 for himself.

He should go to England, get a good 3 year deal. His Daughter will be back for school if they choose.

its a good deal i agree. 3 years with leeds will take him to 31. could possibly then re sign with them for a further 2 years and do 1 year deals after that if he's still performing. would be stupid to turn it down.

You can't really say that without knowing his situation, could be a few factors as to why he doesn't want to go.

Don’t think you are allowed to “renegotiate” an existing contract.
That could only be applied for an extension (on the extended period) or new contract I would have thought.

Correct they changed that after the Bulldogs all took paycuts and won the following year anyway.

I think it’s likely more accurate that, including Seg, we are near or a little bellow the cap but need to release Ava Seeareallyfunguy (and bring a development player up) to meet the -350ish requirement.

Fifita and Prior the starters
Woods, Uele and Rudolf in the squad
Bukuya and Gal can cover if needed.

Yes I’m happy with that.

Also happy (not even counting Rudolph as haven’t seen him play and he’s injured).

If we lost multiple of our top 3 props it’d be an issue but would for any club. But you could bring in Uele and shift Gal and have decent service still.

Thanks snow.

Rudolf was an edge all of last year.
