Yep 3 year deal, will be great for them. Noticed in the article they mentioned Penrith celebrating their 50th season next year, are we just in denial of going 50 years without a comp or what? Baffles me that the club's planning on celebrating after the 50th season is complete.

True

Gal lewy and "ennis are amongst my all time favorite Sharks, but to me the absolute worse thing we could do is committe to all 3 with extension to early, ennis I'm happy to go 1+1 but the other 2 please let's not get trigger happy and go to early, no matter what the papers say can't see any club other than tits n tigers paying good overs for either gal or lewy.

Following on this seasons form Ennis would be far and away the better option.

I'd keep Gal on for 2017 provided he cant throw his weight around and influence what position he plays and for how long per game.

unfortunately that wouldnt be the case.

Go all in for Segy. We still have Nu if Ennis gets restless.
Yeah I'm going to have to agree, Ennis has shown us this year just how vital a quality hooker can be and the reality is there isn't that many top tier hookers in the comp.

Unless nu gets some game time and absolutely kills it, we really have to get a quality 9 for the future, this is the best opportunity.

What Ennis brings to the table is a wealth of game experience. He reads the game so well picks the right options has great vision and is willing to mentor some younger fellas.

The difference he gave to our team last year was huge. Having said that I love Nu and his potential and the the explosive line speed etc of Segy .

Ennis is still good for a couple of years....He is a winner.

I agree. As much as I believe that Nu has the potential to be a great hooker, he is still unproven. We don't know what sort of impact his injury has had on his speed and agility. Plus, he played at five-eighth at NRL level, so we don't have any idea as to how he will go at hooker in the NRL.

Personally, I believe we should either lay all our cards on Nu Brown as hooker and give him time to develop in the role, or we should re-sign Ennis and let him continue to be a vital asset to our team. Ennis isn't getting any younger and as much as he has been great for our club, I believe we should allow Nu Brown to develop as a hooker at NRL level, so that we do have the possibility of having a quality 9 for the future. We won't know for sure if he will be successful at hooker, if we don't give him an opportunity. How do we know if Nu Brown will develop into a quality NRL jooker, if we continue to play Ennis at hooker? It's a risk that I would be willing to take.

We could keep Ennis for 2017 and have Nu on the bench. Ennis could reduce his minutes and share the role. Nu to take over full time once Ennis hangs up the boots.

That would probably depend on how many other forwards are capable of playing big minutes if the game speeds up as expected. Not sure a 9 playing less than 80 will be desirable going forward.

We could still go with 3 forwards on the bench, I think.

Also, they are talking about Nu being a 13/9, so you could probably give him some more minutes anyway.

I wouldn't have gal fr 2016. He will constantly stuff any attack we might build.

It aint gunna happen Gal will be with us next year. I think we should try to use him a little less for several reasons, to allow a transition period without him, without him calling the shots. And lets face it he no longer busts tackles or off loads much any more , he might if he was not so fatigued by playing less minutes.
