My issue with this is what happens if Nu doesn't kick on? There are very few quality 9s going around so we could be left with our dicks in our hands playing two average guys in the spot we could have filled with one. If we are even a chance at signing segy we should go all in.

I think we really need to focus on a Melbourne like strategy. Their big three have single handedly kept them competitive their whole careers (all be it with good coaching). If we lock Val down, and land segy we are a good young half away from sorting out the same kind of combination that breeds success.

He's not going to cost a ****load at this point, so if it doesn't work out you can go after someone else later anyway.

Sometimes you should put faith in the players that you have and your system to develop them.

It's that far off that it doesn't really matter too much at the moment anyway. Anything could happen. 5 or 6 good hookers could arise in the meantime.

Yeah its hard to know, that's why I'm really looking forward to seeing how Nu goes this year. I really hope he develops as expected as like you said, it is so important to bring players through the ranks.

I'd be surprised it Ennis isn't good for another two years, but we should be chasing Segeyaro and thinking long term. I know Nu has had injuries but if he was any good he would be looking elsewhere and not hanging around with no prospect of making first grade anytime soon.

$$$ he has his premiership.. Wouldn't surprise me if it's something like the Titans and courier mail, try and make a headline that makes the club look promising.... Fact that we have Maloney had toddy got lewy, nothing surprises me anymore In relation to players and clubs..

Probably 800k. I'd play for anyone for that coin, especially after already being a premiership winner at like age 25 and dodgey knees
