According to the guru that is the mole, until Sunday night we hadn't put a formal offer forward to the Sharks, but (presumably) that has now changed.

Yes I find it quite funny as well, from what Flanno said the other day we have put our best offer forward and if that doesn't work out well we move onto
other prospects and that's fine with me.

If another team wants to pay a stupid amount then so be it.
