This is an idea and not a rumour. I would assume that Jack bird will want to get closer to the action and will eventually become a 2nd rower or lock. With Lewis most likely retiring at the end of next year I suggest Bird moves in one spot. Peachey has stated that centre is his best position. With Hiku and Whare coming back they may not persist with him their. I would offer Bird to take Lewis's spot and then Peachey into Birds spot. would make a lethal right side if Holmes was till on the wing. Just a thought.

Haha all good mate. Dont see many teams as questionable besides brisbane really. Even they arent too bad when you look at their outside backs and bench.

Who have have we got te replace Gal in 2018? Finucane is off contract. Would love to see him in Sharks colours but will be demanding a bit of coin I think.

We should be considering guys like this, but as many have said it is possible that Bird takes over one of the back row spots in 2018 and beyond. Lewis is also talking like he will be looking to play 2 more years - is is conceivable that the only losses in the pack are Gal and Heighno, and that at least one of Bird and Capewell will be full time forwards.

Brisbane are fine. They would have the highest paid roster for sure, but they a lot of that will be TPA's. It's been said many times before that the TPA system is definitely not a level playing field - especially given that Brisbane have a huge market all to themselves - but they would be under the salary cap based on the rules as they stand.

That's my thought.
Gal, Heino end of 2017, stagger Lewis to end of 2018 to keep some experience.
Bird replaces Gal at lock with Capewell on the bench and moving to Lewis second row for 2019.

Backrow would then be:
Graham, Capewell and Bird with Bukuya off the bench with T-Rex (if he has found his mojo) and one of new signings (this or next year)

Big call for Lewy going another two years. Let's see how he is holding up after 4 months or so of next season.
