FORGET K STANLEY , Give Hull Robbo

HULL KR FACE BATTLE FOR MATT SRAMA
HULLDAILYMAIL.CO.UK – NOVEMBER 12, 2014
GOLD COAST TITANS, HULL KINGSTON ROVERS, MATT SRAMA, NEWS
Matt Srama

The Hull KR bid to sign Gold Coast Titans hooker Matt Srama will not be a straightforward affair as they face competition for his signature from several NRL sides.

Despite signing a new two-year deal just five months ago, the 23-year-old has emerged as a target for the Robins after falling out of favour under new coach Neil Henry.

Rovers boss Chris Chester has already raided the Titans to bring in half-backs Albert Kelly and Maurice Blair and has admitted having an interest in the Polish passportholder.

But he knows Srama still wants to prove himself in the NRL and admits the lure of doing so could rule Rovers out of the equation.

Gallen won't be in the front row next season he said he doesn't want to play there. IMO his best position is lock, he is not big enough for front row

D Fifita is a good footballer but people need to remember (including me) that he is not his brother who when playing well is a freak and unstoppable. If David wants a regular first grade jersey he is probably best off just running hard and straight and throwing his weight and size around. 1 Crab family.

maybe Flanno has plans to run Galls at prop this year aswell, if not we will get another prop I reckon

before the 2013 season both flanno and gallen mentioned gals move there was inevitable. gal also talked about his wish to cut his minutes to preserve his body (which i agree with). wonder if this line of though still exists

Gallen already plays lots of minutes at prop. Has done for about 3 or 4 years.

the problem is our br depth is great our prop depth is not. naming gallen at prop gives us an opening in the 13, and deletes a fringe prop from the run on side........

yes he plays in the middle anyway. but his move to prop would offer greater changes to the team

I agree Gal is at the back end of his career he is now a bit more injury prone and less able to playe injured most of the time, as we have seen the last couple of years (he is 106ks small for a prop) if not we will just blunt his strong runs . We need a big hard bugger (110 + )to cart it up particularly out from our line.

With more speed and attack must have quick play the balls so gap runners like Baba and some of our other backs can get a reasonable run, Gal,Topps and Fafita Lewis Boogs Can all of fload if not to fatigued.

Used less against the Bigger modern front rows will make his runs stronger and harder with better outcomes all round.

i think gal owning state of origin for years at prop playing against world class packs shows he can handle being a tad shy in weight.

we need another bog bopper yes, but like i said if having gal on the 13, means either heighno or bakuya sit out a game and we have some fringe first grader as a spare prop id be pissed

agreed

imo we need to get gal playing like a taumololo, short and off the ruck, needs to stay away from the edge

his try vs the broncos that todd set up was a classic forwards try. a try he would have scored countless times if he stuck to that simplicity

He played front row in origin one year and it was described as one of the greatest performance by a front rower in the history of the game. Off the charts stats. I think he would go ok.

Further to that I'd argue if Parker can play prop and kill it, so can Gal.

Realistically with the squad balance the way it is.

It will prove Gallen still rules the roost if Flanno doesn't push him to prop.
