Do we really nead Beale and Stanley ?
I want to see Holmes , Gagan, Nu Brown and even Leutele get pole position in our backline.

Same I am more excited to see our youth come through then buy these two. I know we need depth but don't want dragon rejects in our starting side.

So if we sign all these players etc, where would that put Robson? Would he still be getting first pick for his position or slot in one of these new blokes.

why not bro - Beale scored 10 tries in his 24 games this year, Ricky scored 2 in his 23.

I like Beale as a player, his ability speaks for itself, not to mention his back line utility value, can play anywhere from 1-6, ok, I get some of his doubters will say he isnt brilliant at some of those positions but he gives us that flexability if we get injuires in a game & we have to do some position shuffling.

Players like brown and beale aren't gonna come here to play for the jets. Which means players like holmes, bird, and Gagan will be forced back. Unless Flanno picks on form, then all is fair.

I don't think anyone actually wants to play for the Jets but that's not really their choice.

I don't think Mitch Brown is really in a very strong negotiating position to dictate where he will be playing. If he can't get a run here, where else would he get a run?

Brown would go wherever he gets a contract. He in no way, shape or form, is a definite pick in any first grade team.

Was laughing at those who think ricky should be given first crack at centre spot and have him over Beale

I'm not a ricky lover, I don't understand all the hype he gets on this forum. I was one of the first to bag him on here and got shot to flames then a month or so later more people joined me

You're a pioneer.

I think he's ok as our 2nd best centre. Doesn't seem to have a great deal of strike power, but he's pretty solid.

If a better player comes along I'm happy to take them though.

Bloody pack of Wolves :)

PS : Seriously tho , Lutes with good early service might eventually be better than Beale .

He used to be benchmarked against Pom, Wright and Ashford.

But yeh, Beale > Ricky

yeh, we do

beale is an NZ rep and would be our best, or second best back on the books

kyle Stanley, whilst not the best, is an upgrade on holdsworth, and on form, can put pressure on robson

Heard from a mate that Daryl Millard is having a meeting with Flanno today about possibly playing for us.
Had meetings with Souths yesterday and will be having a few more with other teams before making a choice on where he is going.
He has played for dragons and bulldogs over here than had a 5 year stint in the uk. He is 29 yrs old and plays centre or wing. My mate thinks hes pretty good. I'm not to sure though.

If we snag Beale, I would have to pinch myself to think players of the calibre(whilst not world beaters) of loots and Mitch brown couldn't get a go in our 1-5. Really is such a exciting predicament to be in.. Roll on 2015, fitz or someone let's start a countdown clock on the front page for 2015 kickoff.
