The is no doubt gal is a gun prop, saying he isnt is ludicrous. He has well and truly shown this in what is meant to be the most physical series in league. whether flanno puts him there is a different matter.

Given the roster it would be a major advantage to have him there.

There is no doubt taga can be a valuable asset to our top 17 squad. He has proved how damaging he can be. The job for the coaching staff is to bring the best out of tags on a continually consistent basis

IMO we need to sign a front rower that takes the first hit up, straight and direct and gets 10m, getting us on the front foot for the set. Fifita and Gallen aren't that type of front rower.

In an interview this year gallen said he likes taking the 2nd or 3rd hitup after a big bopper/s. Gallen is only around 5 foot 10 and 105kg.

Really? I know I have seen many times where he has in fact had two carries in the one set of 6 for us, you cant knock his enthusiasm or his will to win but I wish he would pull back the reins a bit & have some real qulaity touches/carries for us.

The team benefits, he benefits & other players get their workload up.

Correct.

Bloke plays like a prop no matter what position he plays. Fine, he also has some offloading ability and footwork that some props don't have.

He also takes multiple hitups per set and takes hitups that you see props usually doing.

He could easily play prop for us and the team balance would benefit. However, he won't want to and the coach won't have the nuts to make him.

We need to find or turn someone into the bryce gibbs of 2012. He was fantastic that season, he made our middle defence so much stronger. Our middle defence has been poor the last couple of years, opposition teams have been rolling up the field. Hopefully ennis can fix this problem.

He had a very good first yr with us, I've said before, offer him a min wage contract with incentives, he stuffs up, he loses, we lose to a degree, he kills it, he wins & so do we, plus he is or was popular with the playing group.

I think this desire for another very good quality prop forward is a bit unjustified. As teams like Melbourne and Manly have shown in recent years, good service out of the hooker will help the team's go-forward either way, even if the forward pack isn't gold tier. Our's however is already up at that gold tier level with A. Fifita and Gallen as starting props, Tagataese and D. Fifita as bench options to play 20/30 minutes a game, and blokes like Heighington, Arona and Tupou can do a serviceable enough job in the middle even if a little undersized. Ennis will add a lot, you just have to look at the trends in other teams to see this.

**** it. We listen too much to what Gallen wants. He will need to make some sacrifices for the team like everyone else does.

I agree 100%. A Sam Moa style player. That first hit ups off the kick off and on play 3 most sets is really important.

Doesn't mean Gal won't continue to be part of the prop rotation though.

I hope we can jailbreak someone of quality but its unlikely so I think Flano might have to learn his money.

Some ideas off the top of my head:
- Hunt - already mentioned and a strong chance. Small for a prop though and in terrible form
- Allgood. Good size, good agro, doesn't make much impact.
- Mark Nicholls - Raider. Young guy, tall - about 194cm. Played Junior Roos as a backrower but has shifted to prop.in first grade and reggies. Got an honourable mention in the NSW Cup team of the year. Seems to.have fallen out of favour with Sticky.
- Gibbs. As Bundy said above. He's okay.
- Gil Dudson. Never seen him play but apparently Newcastle, Parra and a few others are interested. Wigan prop.
- Jack Buchanan. Tiger, bit of a plodder but good size another that's down the pecking order. Has played some ripper NRL games at his best.

I'd like to say that this would.have been averted - and much else besides - if the Club did what I told.them and signed Jordan McClean 12 months ago rather than let the Storm add another behemoth to their pack.*

Loved nuts tough bugger, always though he had 1 or 2 many handling errors in a game maybe that's me being to harsh.. Played well above his weight and size did read once he never missed a game his whole career though injury was dropped and suspended but never injured, if true freaky stat.

Jeremy Smith added some good cement that year too
