Taga only seems to maintain interest for 15min spurts and thats only if we have majority possession. He's a pedestrian in D. If he could be more consistent and reliable with the ball and recapture that bone crunching D he'd be a brilliant 15min sub before H/T for Fifita.

taga's been dropped more times than a michael jackson baby over a balcony - Flanno hasn't got through to him mentally, not for any lasting amount of time anyway

seems to perform in the big game finals though, brings alot more energy and intent in that arena but as a week to week proposition meh

we are fortunate with the balance in our team these days having a capable halves and backline we don't need to hope a forward comes on and works a miracle play in attack for us, think back to those ****ty years when we had first signed taga and he was our best chance at a line break lol, those days have passed him by

having said that, alot of that pressure has gone onto fifita to make a play as we still have those games when our attack just isn't working or our halves our out of ideas. Fifita gives you that week to week workrate though along with his x factor which is why he is one of the best

Mole reckons Peachey wants out of Panthers .
Don't think there's space available here even if we wanted him back .

could he be the one who was rumored to have saying he wants to return to his old club?

if we were to sign the peach back, i think it would see us shift val to the wing and doogs to fullback.

with loots and peachey as our centres.

feki and lee/beale/ramien on the wing

no room for gray though

And it especially shouldn't happen periodically

The poison is in the dose as they say.

On the subject of player movement, it seems that Heighno has announced that he wants to play on at the Sharks next year and that several news outlets have taken the ball and run with the theory that this now means that the deal is done.

He likes the lifestyle here and obviously the club/players ect . ESL teams have been chasing him but I don't think he will like the surf over there... Newy would probably take him for his experience and to sure up their forward stocks/depth but Hino doesn't deserve that as a way to finish up nor hanging around at the Sharks to play NSW Cup when younger prospects start to outperform him.

Flanno has his mates and is loyal to his hard working consistent players but I'm sure he is mindful of a plan of attack for the future as well. Lewy & Gal are different circumstances because their form has been exceptional.

Hino would add far more to a team like Newcastle than one like ours

We really shoudn't be keeping Heino. Isn't offering much now, how little is he going to add next year.
