Unless Maloney leaves, I don't think you'll see much else from the Sharkies as far as recruitment goes. Maybe a young prop on the cusp of seniors, but that's about it, although part of me hopes we give Kurt Dillion a go.

I know. I've never believed for a second that Maloney won't be a Shark next year. I'm just saying that if we're wrong and we do let him go with someone like Cronk lined up.

Yep, when Flanno was asked about it he said Cronk had made it clear that he'd be making no decisions until after Origin III. He then said that the Sharks won't be letting Maloney go unless there's a quality replacement.

You're right, he's already made a play for one 5/8 this season.

Not sure that that fact makes it less likely that Maloney is on the way out.

Possibly but he's under contract next year. I don't see why it's even being discussed tbh.
