I’d like Fifita to just try to offload, not worry about making big metres. Just second phase play.

I know Fifita has had injuries the past couple of years, so the stats do reflect this. As per my above post, I would like Fifita to concentrate on offloading. He always attracts 2-3 players, so a simple offload creates some second phase play Hynes and Brailey could play off.

Coming off the bench, if he can get a few offloads each game against tired defence, we will score points.

WK needs to follow him in and around the ruck as well.
A few offloads from Fifita to any of those 3 can help us bust oppositions through the middle.

Yep I was going to say Kennedy too. Good mention mate.

He should be roaming the ruck to support Brailey and any offloads from forwards.

I’ve seen enough occasions where he’s appeared to lack leg drive over last few years I’m pretty sure he wants to carry the extra size to ensure he keeps up some impact when he hits defence.
Rightly or wrong
Remember he did intentionally try and get bigger at one point
He did but that was before the 6 again rule came in.

He's definitely doing enough. He's not completely shot yet. 25 mins a game is nice for what he is bringing. On at 25 mins and off at 50 mins or whatever Fitzy has been doing.

He’s trying & I get his knee is f#%#ked but I think he’d help himself enormously by dropping another 5kg & get more fitness into him.

I realise it’s tough to get proper fitness when you cant or don’t want to run but surely our strength & conditioning team can get some form of fitness into him.

I’m no dietician but I’m almost positive to have his body shape he’s not putting the right fuel into his body, if I’m Fitz, I’d be saying to him, mate, to see out your Sharks career the right way give me 6 more months of pure dedication to eating everything right & training your absolute everything into getting fit, it’ll be miserable on one hand cause he is so used to his current lifestyle but it’ll be so much more rewarding when you look back on how you went out.
Some of those Tongan fellas only have to look at a yam and they put on 5kg.

Match fitness was always Fifita's saviour. Shame his knees aren't up to long minutes these days.

his defensive efforts this year have been under rated cause we focus on his carries

24 tackles made for no misses tonight

you don't do that if you are struggling

could care less about his sin binning when the game was already in the bag in the dying stages

It’s his leg that sucks not his shoulder, throughly last few years probably hasn’t had a bad defensive game

Yeah I'm with you. I love Fifitas energy, and I'd make sure he gets an awesome farewell game, but I think Hunt brings more to the side in limited minutes.
Hunt has ample opportunity to prove he deserves it in cup currently, was mentioned as being very strong last week.
Fifi going well but not so good he should consider himself safe - could be a good shoot out for this jersey assuming Fitz picks on who deserves it week by week.

He is surprising to me this year. Much better than expected and I am really happy for him.

Love what he brings to the team
He's the alpha, the biggest dog in the yard who everyone loves & respects.

JMo tried to up his own cred by exerting his power over Fifita. Make him sit & wait to eat last. Big dog got unhappy and so did his pack.

Fitz comes & shows the old boy the love. Big dogs tail starts wagging, he loves the coach & listens and the pack follows.

No credit where credit is due but criticism when it is due too, by his own admission pre season last year he went on a road trip and only ate junk and ballooned out, rocked up to pre season well overweight (when just the year before he’s stacked on weight then had to try lose it when rules changed).

That’s bad self discipline, bad leadership and a bad teammate.

Then he sooked Bomber didn’t give him enough feedback/attention in pre season.

There may have been an element of ego clash also but Fifita got his own fat arse relegated to the back of the food line, ironically for being too often at the front of the drive through line.

Has turned it back around again this year which is pleasing but that whole situation disappointed me a lot.

lol the bold bit is funny as ****. Nice twist.

Mostly I agree. I was just passing a thought on how the 2 coaches handled the big man. A good chunk of coaching is "man management". Fifi is like defusing a bomb, cut the right wire we're sweet, cut the wrong one you'll level the joint.
