Thoughts on Fifita?

He’s holding his own out there but both games I’ve thought ‘oh Fifitas looking decent’ then once he’s been on a few minutes he stops making much impact.

Kick return off the deep drop out was weak, had one like it last year too, he legit can’t run at full speed more than 10m poor bastard.

I think he’s beating Hunt for the minutes on last rep more than anything else… maybe with a sprinkling of leadership value.

He better hope Fitz sees Williams as a Tolman replacement though

I felt sorry for him on one occasion when he'd built up steam but missed out on getting the ball. It would have been one of his big 3 or 4 charges of the game. He got it a couple of plays later and still did a pretty good carry but it wasn't the Pele-esque one he'd set up for.

Happened when he first came on the field. You can see how enthused he is when taking that first hit up, and Brailey went himself. I was gutted until Brailey got the penalty lol

Love him… but it’s a long season and I do think by the second half of the season he may be named on a Tuesday but cut when they need to drop 2 off the extended bench. Everything he produces now comes from his heart cause he’s body is shot.. long live the king such a gladiator

He’s trying & I get his knee is f#%#ked but I think he’d help himself enormously by dropping another 5kg & get more fitness into him.

I realise it’s tough to get proper fitness when you cant or don’t want to run but surely our strength & conditioning team can get some form of fitness into him.

I’m no dietician but I’m almost positive to have his body shape he’s not putting the right fuel into his body, if I’m Fitz, I’d be saying to him, mate, to see out your Sharks career the right way give me 6 more months of pure dedication to eating everything right & training your absolute everything into getting fit, it’ll be miserable on one hand cause he is so used to his current lifestyle but it’ll be so much more rewarding when you look back on how you went out.

I’ve seen enough occasions where he’s appeared to lack leg drive over last few years I’m pretty sure he wants to carry the extra size to ensure he keeps up some impact when he hits defence.
