if they are smart they dont extend Norman so I spose from next season it's doable but by then Fifs might be in a worse state and if he is on the improve you would think we try to hang on to him

You'd think Norman is gone.. But ive seen those ****s do strange things with signings..... If he has a year off Fifs might actually be good for one final blast..
who knows, that guy can do anything if he puts his mind to it. He just rarely does..

I'm pretty torn by this tbh...he won us that GF... And this is how we part ways? Doesn't sit right with me.

X2
The only thing crueler than having a career cut short by injury, is to finish a career at the dragons, please fifs if you must go consider joining David overseas.
It really is the harsh reality of professional sport.

If he is only going to play reserves for two years at 850k where do you draw the line it would be worthwhile to offload?

An extra 450k+ next year gets us another good player to actually play first grade. That’s about 3/4 (or more) of what eels are offering Nathan Brown.

Either an extra good player or the spare cash to retain Toby, Hunt and Talakai.

Dugan 900k and 400k from fifita could match the current offers for Staggs and Brown at 700k and 600k respectively if articles are to be believed.

I don't want to see him in dragons colours, but at this point what is the right thing? If he's not up to first grade ( and we can only assume he's not) does he just fade out in Reggie's? For me, that'd be worse

One thing's for sure, the successful clubs wouldn't be hanging onto an under performing player (be it due to injury or whatever) for two years because they used to be a good player.

We all love the big fella but the reality is it's a business and 850k is a lot of money to be getting zero return on.

Agreed. This is actually best case scenario for us.

I couldn't cop it if we were forcing him out, but it seems like he'll be grateful if we release him to play more first grade.

Much more palatable than the Peachey or Noddy situations.

This bits funny, cos everyone gave Noddy (and Anderson) absolute hell when he first arrived.

Me included. Let's move our Daly M winning halfback to hooker!

Of course history shows Noddy busted his ass for us for years, only to be turfed for Trent ****ing Barrett. Vomit.

Time to play him next 3 games, if he up to it GREAT, if not, its in both parties' best interests he moves, to play FG. Win/Win

But is it? How can we possibly know what Bomber knows?

Also, if Bomber is convinced he's not up to it, be it because of his knee or whatever, do we want to expose that to St George so they lose supposed interest?

Yep – if this was Bomber's plan it's better not to play him.

If only we did the same thing last year with Moylan.
