Exactly rick. Surely theres enough time gone by to get this all sorted now

I have a feeling the whole SKD saga is influencing the duration of the whole process. I wouldn't be surprised if Sharks have brought it to the NRL and they are reviewing the whole Fifita situation.

I think people, outside Sharks fans, are actually seeing this for what it is, why should the Fifita's be suspended indefinitely if SKD can play. Yes SKD served three weeks already, but to be named to play still is outrageous.

They handed down their initial penalty about a day later I think? We wouldn't have had a chance to get much evidence together by then. They kind of had the upper hand because they could get the witness accounts straight up etc. Also, I don't think they'd be too worried about handing out a harsh penalty and then reducing it upon appeal if absolutely necessary. Really all that is at stake is a couple of blokes watching a game of park football. Big deal. We probably need to be a bit more thorough, considering that there's probably close to $1m pa (guess) worth of contracts up in the air. And if we go with the light penalty and it turns out we didn't do enough, we'll cop it.

Also, Channel 9 were already squirting over it before we were probably even aware of it. So if we handed down a penalty straight away it wouldn't have been enough, no matter what we did.

We are damned if we do, damned if we don't, such is our reputation and position. I'm firmly of the view we can't win with the stupid media games no matter what we do.

Fair enough if they got on it that quick.

The media games aren't designed to have us win they're designed to fuel as many headlines and clicks as possible before moving onto the next outrage. We're best off avoiding that bull**** and running our own race to the satisfaction of our fans and the NRL.

Weedler reporting the board meeting has been cancelled

Well thats ****ed if true and I can't imagine why.

Its getting ridiculous we'll have a bloke stood down for 2 games at least before he's even had a hearing with the board. If Penrith JRL upheld their decision on Tuesday we should of had the meeting and delivered the outcome by this morning.

[h=1]Decision on Fifita delayed by Sharks[/h]Source: http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2015/08/06/decision-fifita-delayed-sharks

Cronulla have postponed a board meeting to deal with the Andrew Fifita issue, with a outcome not due until next week.

Fifita stands accused of abusing a referee at an A-Grade fixture nearly three weeks ago and was due to front the Sharks board on Thursday night.
However, that meeting will not go ahead.
"The board meeting has been delayed and there will be no outcome today," a Sharks official told AAP.
Fifita and his brother David have been stood down by the Sharks over the issue and neither will be available for Saturday's round-22 NRL clash with North Queensland.

Weedler now reporting 6 week ban back dated plus 30k fine

So the moral is don't threaten to break the property of a grown man in case someone claims to record it, but if you wanna miss a week then be eligble to keep playing by all means get arrested for stalking, harrassing, and beating your girlfriend. Cool, thanks NRL integrity unit.

Oh well, just another reason sharks fans are gonna think the NRL has it in for them. At least we'll have our pig for the finals, which imroves our chances dramatically. Here's hoping on his return he proves a point with a Dally M winning performance.

I think thats a decent outcome for all. Means he plays finals (provided we get there, gets a fine and learns a valuable lesson.

Also means if we do fail to make the finals he plays round 1 next year

So if it is 6wk & $30K how was that reached without the board meeting and why? It seems we've taken a long time ensuring we follow the correct processes only to skip what I'd have thought to be a pretty important process.

I'm hearing 6 week backdated with a 50% suspended fine.. Learn your lesson Andrew... Regardless of the full truth, where there is smoke there is some sort of fire... 4 more weeks of freshining up , fitness and play the ball lessons... Should be absolutely firing should we make the finals!

In your head, rent free
from dannys tweets sounds like the board meeting was about andy only, but he has now accepted a punishment and we will move on

david will probably get a longer suspension but a smaller fine
