There's really nothing coming out publicly that seems anywhere near bad enough to warrant the reaction.

Dressed as Raygun? Big fine
Made a joke about a sex trafficker? Suspension

If P Diddy has an issue with it he can try a defamation case or something but I think he's got bigger things to worry about.

If someone dressed up as someone like Andrew Dillon and made a joke he was a sex trafficker then yeah I guess fair enough AFL can be unhappy but 'don't laugh about anyone ever' seems a bit strict...

IMG_9160.jpegOkay actually some of these aren’t great. Comedy skit about 9/11 is definitely less tasteful than ‘dressed as Raygun’

I get it from the AFL tbh. It's not really a private function when there are members of the public there working. If you want to do **** like this, do it at someone's house or something.

Nothing like that it seems, looks like he’s just had enough. Kind of understandable, we’ve had him a long time to be fair.
Sounds like he wants to go live on his farm. Who could blame him. I know he's had some bad GF losses but he constantly has them up there.

Alright so the Swans released a statement.
• Longmire will step aside from the head coaching role.
• He’ll step into a new role - Executive Director of Club Performance.
• Dean Cox takes over as head coach on a four year deal.

This has been kept secret for months.
This was the reason Cox didn't sign to be the Eagles coach.
Lomgmire wanted to coach 1 more year but they've given him a new role at the club instead.

Will likely have 2026 off and Tasmania will chase him to be there inaugural coach for 2028.

I'd be surprised if he coached again but you never know.

Apparently told the Board 18 months ago he was going to finish either now or after one more year.

Have to give it to the Swans, no better club on the country in transitioning coaches.

The images of Cox running the room on draft night pretty much confirm that this isn’t an out of the blue decision.

The rumours about Longmire being pushed out after asking for another year are extremely doubtful, he would have got it he wanted it. As far as we know there wasn’t any push to remove him immediately.

As for the rumours about Longmire and Tassie, all that stuff was just fans on social media trying to put the dots together. No one actually knows what Horse is going to do, so let’s stop pretending anyone does. At least until we find out how long and what kind of deal his new role is, whether it’s a multi year deal or year by year, and if it has get out clauses. Until we find all that out, speculation is pointless.

This is true, the smooth transition is looking near identical to the Paul Roos to Horse transition.

Thought I read his new gig is for 4 years.
