It's hardly slap bang in the middle of the "Greater West" but the fact of the matter is that, from an economic viewpoint, it would be ridiculous not to put them at Homebush. There is billions of dollars of infrastructure already there, transport, parking etc. It would be a waste of taxpayers money not to get every bit of use out of it they can.

I think the introduction of the Giants is going to bode well for us as a Club. You may think that sounds strange but think about it this way.

The competition for crowds out west is now going to be even more intense. You've got the Giants, the Eels, The Tigers, The Bunnies, The Bulldogs, Sydney FC and the Panthers all competing for the same western Sydney fan base.

With our new development, Leagues Club and Stadium upgrade, we are starting to look like a pretty attractive option for sports fans based on the east coast. What's our competition? it's really only Jubilee oval for the Dragons (and that only get's every second home game) and the Sydney Football Stadium for the Roosters.

I reckon if you are a casual fan of the Bunnies, the Dragons or the Roosters and live between Sydney and Wollongong, Shark Park is looking pretty good. Even those in Sydney's south-west (Bulldogs and Tiger country) might find it easier to take a nice trip to the Shire than battle the traffic, trains and crowds out west.

I know we have plenty of south-west Sydney fans on here, what do you reckon?

You've got me thinking. If this thing is the success that the AFL want it to be, then it will take a significant chunk out of the western Sydney rugby league support. That has been a mild fear of mine, but on second thoughts, I shouldn't care less. We will be down here relatively unaffected and possibly stronger in comparison to the other RL teams which would presumably take a bigger hit.

I'm far from liking the idea of this, but hey, there is a consolation. :cheers

I didn't realise I was bagging Carlton and Essendon.

I actually like the Blues and the Bombers.

South Melbourne had no choice but to relocate to Sydney.

They were virtually bankrupt and the VFL was looking to create a national competition and South were the first to take that plunge.

I wouldn't hate Collingwood if a vast section of their supporters weren't world class morons, Snowman.

I actually liked them until 2004 when I went to a game at ANZ Stadium and was abused by a group of Collingwood yobs at Central railway station because I was wearing a Swans jersey.

Sorry but if a club's supporters want to behave like yobs then that says a lot about that club.

Canterbury are living proof of that.
