Warriors fan here. Sharks are my second team and lots of players transferring between our two teams this past year!

Looking forward to the first hit out of the season. The Warriors have there strongest lineup (bar injury) as we play in Vegas first round.

Wishing you guys a great season. With AFB you guys are contenders for the title this year.
Welcome Addin, great first post good luck for the season, you have the sharks premiership riding on your shoulders..

Ok, with us fielding a significantly weakened team this evening, what are people expecting?
Personally i cant see us winning, but id like us to be competitive in a close game, with good discipline and come away no injuries.

Tbh in trials I really don't care if we win or lose, get pumped or pump the opposition. For me it's just a bit of match fitness and hopefully no injuries. I focus more on individuals rather than the team.

I have a certain attitude for trials. If you win, it's a good sign for the season, if you lose - it doesn't mean anything as it's just a trial.

Really, same as HB above - blow off some cobwebs and see how some of the players go - especially the up and comers.

Re injuries, Fitz said the other day (when asked if it made him nervous) - with the intensity of training these days, there's just as much chance of getting injured training then playing.

No injuries first and foremost
Then see how some of the young kids look in a first grade trial - McCulloch, Ford, Pollard to name a few

Dont care about results

I expect we might see other players on the extended bench, and players playing tonight likely to also play tomorrow either for Jets/Flegg.

Blow out the cobwebs
No injuries (Especially to key personnel) and I’m happy

Not expecting to win or even be competitive when we only have a semi NRL side playing

Happy for them to have a run and a look at what “potential” we have coming through

I don't expect us to win tonight but it means nothing really. The NRL would have you think otherwise with their silly pre-season challenge. Good chance for some of the young guys to show what they can do. We'll probably play our run out team for the first half and then bring the others on in the 2nd half. Warriors will probably do the same.

No injuries is the best scenario rather than a win.

I'm looking forward to seeing what some the young guys can produce tonight. It will be a good test.

And it's just great to have some Footy back.

  • BHU to look like a new player
  • Talakai to fold some ****
  • Stonestreet to go the length or run someone down
  • Tuks to flatten someone
  • Pollard to kick a 40/20
Those would be my wishes. Outside of that, show a bit of shape and lots of effort. I don't want to see our first graders making shitty in cover/backing up.

I saw dykes last week when the team was doing an opposed session and he wasn’t even wearing shoes just walking around

Not sure if he is good to go

This lad missing games cause he ain't got any boots - SMH

It's important to get the heads up on which players we need to be death riding this year

Agree
The NRL just want to drum up some sort of interest (gate takings) in these games otherwise not many will attend
