I wonder what it would take for Des to actually drop someone from his starting team.

Very glad to see Katoa back and presumably Ikuvalu if Katoa doesn't quite get right.

Graham and Tracey still absent

Old mate Jensen still can't get a look in, named behind Iro.

Very concerned about Wade not being named.

DF and BHU big outs but at least they have some time to have a plan to cover for DF not being in the game. Will still miss his leadership which is why I thought Wade being named was a no brainer. He's obviously still not right.

Miller obviously cover for WK if he is not OK. Iro has impressed me in the lower grades but would much rather Ikuvalu as Katoa's replacement if he is still not right.

Bench looks a little underdone at the moment but with the outs we have, it is not surprising.

No Taupau/Keppie/Aloiai for the Sea Eagles
Bullemor and De Luis on the bench will be a big drop from Sipley and Paseka who are still okay

I can't say I want De Luis to go well but I'm interested to watch him regardless

With Lawton and Walker on the bench they will pick up some speed in the middle but are fairly light on. Hopefully we can use Fifita and Hunt both sparingly to take advantage of size but get them off before they get too tired.

I probably wouldn’t play Trindall and bring in Pele or Hazelton for their NRL debut.
beef up the bench against the Seaeagles
Can't play Hazelton ahead of Pele unless we give him a top 30 contract. We do have two spares from memory.

Good idea WS, would prefer Hazelton to Pele myself. I may be wrong but I think Hazelton can play more minutes and really gets stuck in.

Pele has already debuted hasn't he or was that only in a trial?

Paseka impressed me, I think he goes really well. Big, strong fellow who is very hard to tackle.

Yes Pele has debuted last year, one game.

Similar to Hazelton over Pele I think we can't play Iro ahead of Ikuvalu and Hiroti (unless we upgrade him).
Given ? over Katoa and Ikuvalu makes sense to have him in 24 still, if both didn't clear we could play Hiroti and Iro. If a centre dropped out we could maybe play Iro... would be up to NRL to decide if Hiroti is a centre or not. (I know some would say not even a winger...).
In career 22 games only two starts at centre so maybe would get it passed.

From memory either from or after round 11 who you can play opens right up.

Problem is without Tracey we have no Halves back up for HIA or injury.
Do we cover a “just in case” thou.
With the extra grunt on the bench, we could go with Brailey in the halves, Toby lock, Cam hooker If it came to that.
Leaving Tolman, Fifita, Hunt, Williams and Pele or Hazelton rotating the forward pack.

Nikora would need to play the rest of the game with no rest, but possible Toby and Wilton as well. Toby and Wilton could rotate via lock if really needed.

But all that is IF a half goes down.
