SHARKS DUO LIGHT UP MANLY

Do the Sharks have the most destructive centre pairing in the NRL? The question has to be asked after Thursday night's stunning 34-22 win over the Sea Eagles in a howling gale at Shark Park.

While all the headlines have surrounded Siosifa Talakai and his 262 metres, two tries and three try assists, his sidekick Jesse Ramien also continues to produce powerhouse games.

Ramien made 144 metres - meaning the pair combined for a stunning 406 metres - and also terrorised the fragile Manly defence as the Sharks charged to a 32-0 halftime lead.

Coach Craig Fitzgibbon has clearly given his team permission to play what they see in front of them - and the Sharks' outside backs are cashing in as they drive the team towards the top four.

Talakai's even stronger than I thought... he's played the way he has all while carrying Ramien into the NRL's top centre pairing

Ramien’s actually been fantastic 99% of this season. He’s just had two dipshit plays.
He has been good, just having a laugh Burgo.
There is a little something though that makes me think he's still not where he should be. I can't put my finger on it though. Maybe it's just that he's playing a little differently now or something, not sure. He is getting early ball but I don't know that a lot is created off the back of it. Plenty of strong runs but... maybe he's just been a bit better early on, or flashier. Something...

It'd be interesting to see he and Talakai on the same side of the field.

I was astonished by how easily we created acres of space out wide on the left side and how we did it time and time again , hard to distinguish from one copy of the play to another.

It looked like Manly were missing half of their players from their team
