Has been no suggestion from anywhere but this forum that he is even in doubt?

Metcalf is available this week so he would be the obvious choice, you then have Miller and Dykes waiting to debut or at a stretch you start Trindall in the halves and move Moylan.

I'm doing all of these things well before moving my wingers who struggle with defensive positioning.
Not sure on his fitness. I wait till kickoff to confirm the side now. Fair question though if he were to go down.

No.
Moylan plays in the halves or 14. Nowhere else. That’s how you break him!

Which is why he isn't my first choice.

Also I don't give a **** how slow his legs are, I care how quickly he gets our line set when we are defending our own 10m

I’m not talking about speed either and he will need to do much more than just getting “our line set when we are defending our own 10m”.
I’m talking about his kick returns and the extra runs he will need to do as FB which could add additional strain to his hammies.

Agree
IF Metcalf available ( some say he is -some say he isn't )
You'd think he probably has the jump on Miller , having played First Grade already
Both nippy and can ball play .
Organising and defending will be the challenge.
Happy to leave the halves as they are

Think you will find Miller was only moved from fullback to get experience defending in the front line in preparation for when he gets a go at 14 or in contention to cover if Moylan misses games. Not due to his fullback ability.

Lots of confusion around at the moment with our 1-17 but that comes when you have 5 day turnarounds and a game as hard as we had against Melbourne.

Not sure if this afternoon's team announcement will answer any of those questions, I assume Fitz will play his cards close to his chest as to the final 1-17 on game day.

This has probably been answered but does anyone know if Dale has been officially ruled out? I'm not sure why Fitz wouldn't at least name him and see how he goes through the week.

Need to be well on our game against this mob - as has been said, they are definitely our bogey team. We could be first and they could be last and they'd probably still beat us.

It's a five day turnaround for them as well so they might also have bumps and bruises but I don't think there are as many question marks about their players. Tommy Turbo seems to be the only one that is definitely out.

If Talakai does play centre again, it is going to be great to see how he goes against Harper.

The two players I want to see absolutely bashed are Cherry-Evans and Dylan Walker. Cannot stand either of them.

Saab is a danger but I think he is a bit of a powderpuff in bringing the ball out and he is easily bundled into touch. He has pace but not much strength I reckon.

I'll have a look at the Silvertails forum today and see what they are having a chat about.

The only thing that would prevent Fitz naming Dale is if the 5 days turn around cannot be achieved due to HIA testing protocols. I'm not sure what he requirements are.

I think Miller missed the cup game as he went to Melb with the first grade squad. Im pretty sure Miller was NSW cup fullback for the first 3 or so rounds I think?

But normally if a player copped a whack and is in doubt it would be mentioned somewhere, especially by Buzz or Riccio in the Tele and there was no mention in their Sharks injuries this morning. I think he’s sweet
Yeah seems harsh to call him out for not being selected for cup when he is with the first grade squad haha

We didn't officially rule out Ronnie in some kind of statement before the team list was released either. He had same issue, wasn't possible to complete concussion protocols in time.

Another one for them with a niggle is the prop, Aioli, he's decent so he'd be a good out but I think expected to play.

Metcalf hasn't been to an Olympics, which for all the mockery probably suggests Miller wouldn't be overwhelmed by the occasion. Metcalf's handful of games not as much of an advantage as they would be against your average cup player.
Def leave halves as they are and pick between those two, it is looking like Miller might have the lead over Metcalf for fullback (has played more there recently) but who knows. Expect one of them to be 18 and Kennedy to be 1 on team list.

Saab is a danger if he gets in the clear, not much chop apart from that.

Here is the pre-match discussion on the Silvertail's forum - they seem pretty confident and even mention they are our bogey team.

If BHU is confirmed out for up to 3 months this week McInnes at 13 could be the test case for a shift into the originally expected 8 Rudolf 10 Finucane 13 McIness line up. Tolman, Fifita, Williams, Hunt contest 3-4 bench spots with Pele as the extra depth.

After comprehensive wins against ladder positions 10, 11, 12 and 16 in the past month they are clearly at the top of their game ;)

I'm sure the Manly forum would be laughing at our own members for taking Manly for the win at $3.
