They aren't *that* bad any more. At least not as junky as the bottom 4. I like that they gave the chance to Kiraz and King, shows they are completely blind (like Sheens). Burns is good when fit at centre.

Jackson is trash and their bench is a NSW Cup bench for us so that's something.

The rest are trash and should present no problem.

BUT

Rain is forecast so it will be wet. Means we might only score 6 tries instead of 8.

Fitz: Hey Gards, can I copy your homework?

Gards: Ok but don't make it obvious

Need a big win to keep that top 2 dream alive. Have to think that the cowboys will win their last two games (even tho I think they will get done by the bunnies this weekend).

We are 80 behind on F/A but could easily win both games by 40+ if we really wanted to. I can’t see cowboys winning by much against either side so we can definitely catch them in F/A. Annoyingly the cows won by as much as we did last week so that win over manly didn’t edge us any closer

They'll be up against it this week with Rabbitohs in good form and playing Drinkwater in 6 instead of 1

I hate a spine reshuffle in most cases (Munster to fullback being an exception) but it is tough to bring in Hampton when it means keeping HTF on the bench

Fingers crossed. Also worst case scenario would be us finishing 2nd and storm finishing third. They will be tough to beat…. Much rather play cows week 1 home or away..

If we don't towel these guys up we should give up for the year.

Yea throwing away all that effort, planning and potential revenue to get ourselves top 4 and into the finals this season cause we don't annihilate a randomly competitive lower placed team on a particular day is what we should do...

It's not easy to put a big score on teams unless they don't turn up

If this Bulldogs game were to determine our performances and chances in the finals somehow then yea we should give it up but that isn't the case - we don't need to go all in on this one and use it as some barometer of where we are at as a team over a long season and a month of finals. Especially when we have regular players out of action.

A couple of my mates can’t go anymore if anyone wants a GA ticket. Slide into my DM’s if you’re keen.

I know you were being kinda sarcastic mate but there are comments like that all the time about if we are a serious contender we will beat X pleb team by X amount and when we don't fans are disappointed that although we won it wasn't by enough points or we didn't play well enough.

It's a tough comp, no team can be fire every week and struggling teams do step up sometimes against the top sides - it's swing and roundabouts but every week we are learning and building regardless of the opposition or the result.

Panthers, Storm, Cows don't blow away the bad teams every time (almost lose even) and it isn't a big deal if we don't as long we are working towards putting our best foot forward in the most important matches - the championship rounds so to speak.

I would rather the Sharks show me they can beat Brisbane, Roosters & the Raiders teams than put another cricket score on the lowly Bulldogs.

I think we anaylse and expect things so much on here we sometimes forgot how to just celebrate and enjoy a win like we did when we were kids or casual non forum posting fans

Perhaps we are just getting older and more jaded and haven't recovered from the post 2016 disappointment of not dominating the comp for the next 10 years and becoming a superclub powerhouse like we were told we would be.

Oh well less start this year I say!

Well said.

In consideration of your well thought out comments I have revised my expectations and will be happy with an 8 point flogging of the Bulldogs!

In all seriousness you are right. We want to get through the final weeks with as less injuries as possible and building in our game management (ie minimum mistakes / mistakes etc).

I do not think it will come down to F/A with us and Cowboys anyway. I think we'll get second place by points difference.
