Well we need to decide this week who is place holding the 1 until Kennedy is back and I can't imagine Fitz back fliiping on Dykes now and giving it to Miller (even if he did just come off a good game, so did Dykes)

Katoa might not be back for Finals and we have others on the sideline too so we need to at least settle on the makeup of our outside backs

Personally from here out until all troops are available and back on deck I would be going with:

1. Miller (is fullback or not in the 17 - we have better wing options available)
2. Ikavalu
3. Ramien
4. Talakai
5. Ronnie

6. Moylan
7. Hynes
8. BHU
9. Brailey
10. Hunt
11. Nikora
12. Wade
13. Finucane

14. McInnes
15. Fifita
16. Tolman
17. Wilton

18. Trindall (starts in the 6 or 7 or isn't in the 17)
19. Tracey (first drop for 2-5)
20. Dykes
Jesse C, Hazleton ect.

It's still a damn good squad that can get things done with quality depth to come in

Katoa is out until next year. Been confirmed since the injury happened.

I’m certainly not hating that side Gards

Well it's pretty much the same one (Sans Tracey Out - Talakai in & Tieg in for Trindall) that just annihilated Manly at their home ground.

I wouldn't have agreed with all of the selections earlier in the year but it's working but Trindall is a waste off a bench spot for the most part & Ikavalu is a stronger overall backline option than Tracey (not that Tracey isn't a good little player and gives it everything)

I wouldn't be upset with any of our reserve/depth players being selected but we are just so flush with quality depth at present alot of different people could come up with different combinations and player selections and still field a quality competitive Sharks team.

We have handled injuries and squad/combination changes really well the last few months and our depth has come in and done fantastic jobs but at some point I fear it's gunna catch up with us and I think we need to start settling it down and keeping the same players next to each other.

Obviously Rudolf if he comes back will have to push someone out which should be probably be Tolman making way (as much as I respect the guy and value his efforts)

Kennedy is straight swap for Miller but I hope we don't mess with the rest too much baring injuries or some sudden shocking form from a player

Great place to be leading into a finals series.
One where we have “next man up” capability and can simply slot in without much disruption.

Don’t want to jinx us so won’t say anymore….

We had good depth in 2016 as well that could slot in relatively seamlessly and do the job - I remember it as a feature of our season

Capewell, Paulo, Nu Brown ect. I recall a great win at Penrith that season relying upon alot of depth guys coming in that game and our systems let them flourish. Even blokes like Gus Gould commented postively on our depth and pathway systems

Players like that I mentioned might not have taken the field during game time in the Grand Final but they helped us get there and were apart of our success in getting to lift that trophy in 2016. They took the field eventually as we celebrated carrying the trophy around, getting photos with our premier shirts ect.

They were buzzing and happy to be apart of it and rightly so

Some of the younger ones went on to bigger and better things eventually as well

And more recently we've had very shallow depth as we had a cap restriction AND a lot of big contracts

And the other Brown!? 1 game haha

Nu had 2 games only but Mitch had 1 which I thought was stretching things a tad. I think he scored a try in the centres off a nice line run in that single game, was at home IIRC, maybe against the Dogs ?

I don't remember much or anything of Mitch on GF day but can't forgot the massive smiles from Capewell, Paulo, Nu in the team photo with the trophy

Actually just came across this photo of Gerard Beale flicking a gang symbol to the camera

I Request that NRL redact his status as a Sharks Premiership player and force him to play for St George again

Not for the finger gesture - For trying to undermine our Finals series at every available opportunity

Maybe I can photo shop Capewells head on there or somethin and turn the hand into a peace symbol

What has this got to do with the game thread Gards?

We will need a 50 word essay on this.

Saturday night is going to be a cracker, watch us get a win up and then cheer for the Bunnies at 7:30pm.

Can't wait.

Shame the Leagues Club isn't open, would have been awesome.

Mitch Brown went over to the UK late in the season... that'd be tough to get over.

Looks like someone has already photoshopped Jordan Drew's head onto his body.

Yeah would have been great. I’m taking a Bunnies supporter to the game and plan is to go watch the South’s game after.

Leagues club open would have been perfect. The amount of money they’d be raking in after games
