We can bitch and moan about them holding down in ruck etc etc .. ref not blowing the pea out
Fact we played against 12 for 30 minutes and had 55 percent of the ball we were putrid miles worse than broncos game..

Canberra hardly made any mistakes and defended well. We were just outplayed on the day.

You wouldn’t be letting yourself down to skip that one, we were never it, a shambles from start to finish
**** me!

Just looking at the stats, we should have killed them (all except the “errors” stat is in our favour).

yeah. I might not bother with watching a replay nor the “lowlights” of this one!

Agreed Vicsharkfan - we were given enough chances to win. Over 60 of them in fact. 60+ tackles in Raiders 20. Good call on fellow poster - our attack looked like Canterbury.

Upshot we can move back into top 4 if roosters beat parra by 3 but less than 6

Yeah. Our forwards were crushed and the play the ball was super slow. Nothing in it for a hooker today
Interesting how some peeps are having a dig at our 7 when others are making comments to say our forwards got crushed and our PTB was super slow.

Food for thought?

Mmm, I'm not ready to 'Chad' Trindall based on today

Sorry mate.
That’s not necessarily aimed at you I’m just using your post to highlight a few things.

My point is that we always say that a half can’t play footy if the forwards are dominated and our PTB is slow……

Your comment suggests our forwards got dominated but others were still expecting Trindall (in a confused role with Nicho still playing half in attack) to pull out a miracle.

The kid is on a hiding to nothing.

Forwards get nominated- Trindall’s fault
Slow PTB - Trindall’s fault
Confused role given Nicho was taking over in attack- Trindall’s fault
Poor pass by Moylan - Trindall’s fault
2 forwards injured - Trindall’s fault
Experienced/ Senior players not aiming up enough when we needed it - Trindall’s fault
Wade getting in the way, stifling our attack and too slow - Trindall’s fault

Maybe Trindall didn’t have a blinder but…….

Anyone else see a pattern?

If your not convinced Trindall should never play again you should Be now
I dont blame Trindall for this loss at all.

If we cut out most of our very unforced errors we get closer to a win. There first 3 or 4 tries were from our basic reserve grade mistakes.

We played like a pre-season trial. Considering this is the first 80 min game from Trindall, our whole spine and therefore team struggled.

IMO mistakes aside, we made two crucial tactical errors:

1. We shouldn't have weakened one position to fill another. Should have kept Hynes at 7 and brought it someone for fullback.

2. Wrong starting forwards. Should have started Hunt and kept McInnes on the bench. He wasted so much energy in the first 20 with his energetic runs - straight into their big forwards. They always turtled him which resulted in slow play the balls.

We can analyse position changes etc but what is worrying this season to date is we are losing matches on desire or lack of.

Just good old fashioned turning up every week & having a crack, that alone is not rocket science but it does go a long way to keeping you in matches.
Yeh that is a worry.
