I think you'll see Bennett convince smith the come back and play for qld.
Can add another 100k into his account for 3 weeks of work.

Not this year

If they use same cash pool but split it around evenly looking just under 2/3s as much as previous Origin series.
If they split it but favouring those who play someone who does all three would be looking around the 70 mark still I guess (playing in no games would still be approx 34k at that rate)

Still decent coinage

If they lost GF and he felt confident about Qld chances I could see him having a run

For those who are interested in Origin, 54 players were announced in the NSW and Qld squads after the Grand Final. The sharks provided 0 players. Makes it even less appealing to watch now.

No sharks = no injuries (I’m happy)
+ no contract boosts through making rep teams.

Which sharks players would you have picked for nsw?
I can’t think of any I would have picked. Pretty sad though, in a squad of 54, that we don’t have one player who has been dominant enough in his position this year to make it . Not one.

Plus they won't need an extended break as I assume origin players probably won't return till the new year.

Need our squad back ASAP to work on things.

I wonder how much ratings will be down this year relative to previous years.

I’m hoping they go up. Personally I’m more invested in Origin since it’s at the end of the year not interfering with club football and also it’s done in 3 weeks. Just a pity they’re not on Saturdays. So I’m hoping the ratings are good so they can finally see that this way is better.

I hope so, end of year would be better for the competition.

Have a feeling they'll go down though.

depends how bad whatever joke cricket competition is on the other channel

Capewell and Holmes are the closest we get from the named squads lol

Talakai and Woods (depth) for NSW - RCG can faaaark off

also been nice not to have half the season filled with origin hype in the media. with the season over now it will be easier to avoid once the media starts ramping it up for next month

Shaun's Johnson - that's in NSW!
Well it is...

I bet if NSW was the Roosters we would have provided some players...
