Unpopular opinion on here, but I actually like Cam Smith. Sure, he can be a bit grubby on the field but off the field he is a class act, as you could see after 2016 gf. So durable, consistent and amazing player

I agree with that, but sadly he’s 9-14 times more articulate and intelligent than any other league player, so he gets Melbourne too many favours with the officials.

Now that league has dealt with the wrestle, which was the number one issue IMO, it needs to deal with players talking to referees. Basically there is absolutely no need for it. Plenty of sports don’t allowed it at all, I think the NBA is one, and netball too. Just end it.

I’m going for the storm. Only because the panthers were 2 premierships up on us, then we clawed one back. Both coming in the comp in ‘67, I’d hate for them to get another one on in such a short amount of time. Storm have been so dominant for so long, what’s one more?

I don't get the hate on him either. He is a brilliant ball runner and is very competitive. A bit like Ennis, the only reason people don't like him is because he isn't on your side!

there is much to the arrogance for penrith; at time some of their players have been unprofessional imo, in many different situations.
in the past five or so weeks, I have chatted to many of other teams' fans and they have been sharing the same sentiments, blew me away.

i will be watching, always enjoy a good GF - just hope its a 'fair' contest and not controversial.

Why would the NRL be cheering Penrith, let alone be giving them some unfair advantage if that's what you're insinuating with "its been that obvious"? I mighta read that wrong.

Some examples of the unprofessionalism? They've looked a fit, firing, hungry, well prepared and focused side who've done their job & got the W all but 1 week. That's pretty ****en pro in my book.

Surely suspending kikau for the semi shredded your NRL conspiracy theory.. putting it out there , Cleary liua and their big poppers having stellar years has been more influential to their current success than Nrl bias.

You've gotta stop drinking the bong water. WTF makes you think it's obvious that the NRL wants Penrith to win?

If anything, the bias will be for Storm given it's likely to be Cam's last game.

I would be nervous as if i were a panthers supporter. imagine amassing all those wins for it just to result in a GF loss and a minor premiership that most don't care about

no way could they go on such a golden run of wins and form again through a regular season and finals

if they are cocky they are stupid, Storm in a GF is one of the toughest challenges you can face and I feel the Storm have yet another point to prove

When JBrom scored off a pretty regulation Storm play & Smith was all over him screaming like a lunatic I said "**** Smiffy is fired up". The effort on Cotric & how fired up his boys were. The half lap of honour. Being chaired off.

I definitely think he hangs em up a GF winner on 430. I don't feel he's made an absolute call though - at least its not widely known if he has. Don't care how tight an org Storm are too much else moves depending on him for all of em to know.
